Charli's really thrown her name back out there with CRASH doing pretty well in general. She's obviously been ahead of her time, hence the cult following she's gotten (at the expense of hits). It doesn't seem like she'll be repeating CRASH but building on it with her sound. In additional to all that, some forward-thinking hits in the same realm of hers have been successful in the past year. Unholy & Boy's A Liar pt. 2 come to mind. The former lightly referencing the PC/SOPHIE sound with the dark undertone, and the latter sharing characteristics with songs like Unlock It. Could lightning strike at the right time for her? As It Was, Blinding Lights, and Shape of You are probably the 3 biggest songs of the streaming era. Why did the latter 2 songs lead to massive eras such as After Hours and Divide, but it was only downhill for Harry's House after As It Was? Please don't bring up Grammys seeing as how Ed was intentionally shut out of the general field by the committee to avoid a sweep (the committee was shut down after 2021) and the Weeknd was the victim of racism, leading to an across the board shut out. -
