Clearly she struck gold with Phoenix. That album is great and still has good replay value to this day. Besides obvious things like playlisting, promo etc I think working with the right writers, producers is also what helped create such songs like Anywhere, Let You Love Me, Only Want You, First Time High, Hell Of A Life, The One, Bang Bang, Praise You, Don't Think Twice, Praising You, Unfeel It, Waiting For You and That Girl. what can help make this song smash? a live performance? maybe a remix? this is abnormal for CardiB and offset. Can this song be turned into the smash hit it was destined to be? or another forgotten CardiB feature?

Karma initially rocketed to top 5 on radio in its 8th week in June 2023 and then stalled there for 6 weeks before dropping to #7. Cruel Summer entered top 10 in radio in July 2023 and is now ahead of "Karma" on radio, currently at #5 in its 7th week. It kind of reminds of me "breathin" and "thank u, next" on radio - breathin' peaked at #3 on radio and thank u, next was in the top 5 at the same time before thank u, next swapped and peaked at #3 on radio.

I feel like most hits after 2017 age faster and feel forgotten after a while despite their huge success at the time IMO social media plays a huge part in this, like we constantly hear the same songs all over IG, Tik Tok, Youtube etc. The hit in question could be the greatest song ever but when you hear it all the time and can’t escape it— it just ages I can’t think of a way to avoid this though since social media decides which song is going to be a hit
