  14. With the success of her re-releases many artists are following suit and rehashing their old material that fans love and adore. So far I have only seen Demi and Ariana hop on this trend but do you think more artists will follow suit? And if so, who and what would you like to see
  15. And I think it's time ATRL starts to discuss Mary here more. Her discography is incredible. Her 90s output is amazing as is her 2001 album No More Drama which is my favorite followed by My Life. So far I've heard What's the 411 (1992), My Life (1994), Share My World (1997), Mary (1999), No More Drama (2001), Love & Life (2003) and The Breakthrough (2005). I need to get into Growing Pains (2007) soon! She has great albums, one of the best in the game. When I was learning more about her discography, I was shocked that she sold over 700k albums in first week back in 2005 with The Breakthrough. It was the 5th best selling debut week for a female album of all time!! She was absolutely massive. And that was her 7th album!!! She also had hard life and a lot of her songs discuss all hardships she had to face. She needs to be respected and discussed more on ATRL. Any Mary stans here or at least casual fans? I mean, look at the material babygorls And these are not even her best, especially album tracks like Steal Away, MJB da MVP, Destiny, No One Else, Good Woman Down, 2 U, You Bring Me Joy, Beautiful Day, etc.
  16. Lorde just did a pretty awesome set in Ireland’s All Together Now Festival. With a brand new show — that she called “Solar Power Night Vision edition — the singer appeared to ditch the pastel colors of the Solar Power tour. Not only that, but Lorde also only included two tracks from the “Solar Power” album: Solar Power and Mood Ring, which were revamped to sound more alt-poppy. On the new versions, there are no acoustic guitars. The setlist was overall pretty surprising. Lorde sang “Magnets” for the first time in years and also sang Flume’s remix of Tennis Court. Her set has been acclaimed by local media and cited as the highlight of the festival.
  17. Taylor has managed to position herself as the most successful WHITE ARTIST in the music industry. No one else can match her at the moment. Only Gaga,Adele can battle her a little bit, but Lady Gaga is now more focused on her movies and Tricon Status and Adele In Vegas. Even hyper powerful newcomers like Billie Eilish cant touch Taylor. Taylor's success is growing monstrously. I dont need to quote her achievements. She's just WOW. She just exceeded every expectation. She will probably turn into The Most Successful Female Artist in the history of the United States Of America Beyoncé has always been focused on delivering Grand Artistic Projects and has had a successful return after havin mid-success with The Gift. Her new tour is incredibly successful, and her album is acclaimed again and She scored another Nr1 in the Hot 100 NR1-Top 10 without the visuals and big promo. Straight Insane! With Rihanna's retirement from music, Beyoncé is the leading figure in the BLACK COMMUNITY. Even though there are other successful singers like Doja Cat or Nicki, no one matches her in respect and acclaim and talent. She's a Living Legend. She's perpetually winning. Shakira has also had a highly successful comeback after leaving her career for so long. All of her new Spanish-language singles have been massive hits in Latin America. She has managed to chart in the top 10 of several countries around the world again with the spanish-english ones like Girl Like Me-Dont You Worry and has even achieved 2 top 10 hits on the Hot 100 with Spanish songs. TQG/SESSION 53. Her views on YouTube are colossal. She has turned her pain into profits and has found redemption. Rosalía and Karol G are popular figures in Latin America, but no one is as respected, loved, and talked as much by the media-people as Shakira. She represents Latinoamerica-Every Latino out there and the growing LATINO COMMUNITY in the United States. Also, Shakira owes a lot in her career to her arab heritage, making her the most powerful artist of MIDDLE EASTERN origins on the planet too. All these artists debuted in the 90s-2000s and are still very successful, which makes their success even more impressive - two, three, four decades of success. How they do it???? Serving Madonna Levels of Longevity Blackpink has managed to make the english crossover, and the list of records they've broken is big. They have sold-out concerts in the United States-Europe, charted with their songs worldwide and on the Hot 100 with albums-singles. Something never seen before for an artist from East Asia. Theyre the first of their kind. The ASIAN QUEENS. I couldn't include it in the title, but I also thought that if it's not Blackpink, Olivia Rodrigo could be the leading figure of the ASIAN COMMUNITY??? But u know she's just starting.............Lets see how things turn for Olivia Do You have Respect for these Artists? Do you love them? Once theyre retired...Who will take their place? Are these the leading female figures in the music industry in this moment? Lets Celebrate Them Taylor,Beyonce,Shakira,BlackPink,Olivia are nominated to the VMAS too
  18. Cold Heart is a smash hit and he's not a hook voice in the background - it's based on his hits. Hold Me Closer did decent. He has the highest grossing tour of all time. His biopic was well received. He won his second Oscar a couple years ago. How is he winning so effortlessly? A gay man who is nearing 80!
  19. BLACKPINK on track to crack 300M+ for a tour on their 7th year as a group. For comparison, these are other female popstars biggest tours up to their 7th yr in the mainstream (adjusted for inflation): RED Tour: 196M/86 shows 1989 Tour: 320M/85 shows I Am World Tour: 170M/108 shows Sweetener Tour: 170M/101 shows Prismatic World Tour: 251M/151 shows Born This Way Ball: 231M/98 shows Blonde Ambition Tour: 162M/57 Funhouse Tour: 142M/151 shows Born Pink Tour: 300M+/64 shows BLACKPINK, an Asian act barely 7 years into the mainstream, pulling numbers most MPGs only achieve 15+ years into their careers. Is this a sign of how massive their fandom is? Is the only way to go up? Are you impressed by the new MPGs?
  20. More unique listeners or more overall listens/streams — which do you think makes a bigger hit? For example, let's say Song A has been actively listened to by 20M people and has 100M streams. Now let's say Song B has been actively listened to by 10M people and has 200M streams. Which of the two would you consider to be the bigger hit — the one that was consumed less by more people or the one that was consumed more by less people?
