Which album by your fave is a true representation of who you perceive them to be as an artist? Why? I think Nightride fully encapsulates who Tinashe is. It is half moody R&B that defined her first 4 mixtapes, and half turn-up/dance songs that defined her mainstream success. In addition, I feel she released it at a time in her career when she was most hungry to prove herself. Nightride contained very personal songs that she meant for her sophomore album but her label did not believe they were right for the pop direction it was pointing her in. To date, I believe it includes the best writing and production of her career and did not get the success or acclaim it deserved.
