  1. After releasing her debut while working on her still allegedly sophomore record, Bridgit Mendler toured and performed a lot of new songs that would allegedly be part of her second studio LP and one of them was the disco deep house track Deeper Shade Of Us. If this would have been released would have smashed?
  2. Click Clack

    I’m Angelina, you Jennifer

c’mon btch, u see where brad at
  3. Some Capitol Records exec.: "Daisies" is gonna be Katy's "We Belong Together" and "On The Floor" moment.
  4. Cruel Summer--Lover stans last hope at getting the album a #1 single--has been doing incredibly well, even just hitting #1 on iTunes. It was very close to #1 this week, and probably could have reached it had she released a remix or video. With 1989 TV announcement here, will Taylor give up on our dream of making Cruel Summer a #1 hit? Are we getting another #2?
  5. I do NOT mean this to be shady and would like to have a genuine discussion on this, please. So this is not the thread to throw petty shade or feel very attacked. I think it's fair to objectively state that Taylor's re-recordings have been some of the biggest pop events of the 2020s so far, with no signs of that stopping. They are opening w/ nearly 2/3s of their original albums' release weeks years ago. Essentially, if you really think about it, she is just serving updated artwork, new productions and updated vocals of tracks the fans have already had for years, and some new "vault" bonus tracks as treats for the fans. But we already know the vast majority of what we're getting and not exactly getting much actual new content. Despite the majority of these TVs being material the fans already have, they are blowing newer pop albums numbers out of the water by a wide margin (for the most part). SN TV has already sold over 1M. Is this simply another statement on Taylor's incredible selling power and/OR is indicative of fellow popstars not being able to get fans engaged enough to sell quite like her? Taylor has outsold her peers for going on 15 years at this point, that is no secret, but what is it about her TVs that is getting the fans completely perched unlike newer pop albums? Would anyone else be able to get their updated versions of older albums to sell like this? How can the newer girls or Taylor's peers in the industry get their fans to get engaged like this, what could they learn from this?
  6. So I searched Barbie World on YouTube and I just let out the loudest snort of my life This was NOT the thumbnail when I first saw the MV. They did Nicki so bad
  7. Arguably the best K-Pop song of all time. Will anyone ever top it?
  8. "A crowded room anywhere A million people around all I see is you there And everything just disappears, disappears, disappears, disappears Yeah, a million people in a crowded room But my camera lens's only been set to zoom And it all becomes so clear, comes so clear, becomes so clear I got that tunnel vision for you"
  9. Angelina was regarded as the world's most beautiful woman, while Brad held the title of the most handsome man. Their union sent shockwaves globally, swiftly establishing them as the quintessential power pair. Between the two, who do you believe possessed the greater beauty?
  10. New Romantics, one of Taylor’s best singles, deserves the same shine Cardigan, Style, and Cruel Summer are currently getting on streaming platforms. Give it a proper video this time around and it’ll smash.
  11. According to CBS, Taylor’s Eras tour is projected to gross $1.5 Billion while Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour might reach $2 Billion! Congratulations to these legends .
  12. Described a journey throughout the musics eras of her career past and present there are only a few artist who are able to effectively execute an Eras Tour concept where they can seamlessly go through their eras with distinctive aesthetics and sounds. Avril Lavigne has a similar trajectory and artistic journey as Taylor since she has eras that are distinct and isolated from one another yet truly feel authentic to her artistically. Her peers like Kelly and P!nk and Alanis may not be able to pull that off due to having homogenic eras in a way that can be exchanged with one another. Yet with Avril, she is able to showcase her versatility and chameleon like career with remembered classic that both the GeePee and the gheys know…
  13. Was listening to this bop and randomly remembered queen has a London accent but you wouldn't be able to tell:
  14. At age 13, Stevie became the youngest solo artist to ever reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (the record still stands today). This is Stevie performing the song on the Ed Sullivan show in 1963:

  17. She hasn't dropped any music, but why doesn't she stay in the public eye performing her old songs She missed being in the Broccoli City Festival lineup recently in Washington D.C in July She isn't in H.E.R.'s owned music festival lineup this year for September No Essence Festival either Not in OneMusic Fest in October Etc

Billie vs Olivia: bigger debut era?

Since Gaga, Billie had the most meteoric rise to fame in mainstream pop with her 2019 debut album. 2 years later, Interscope did it again with Olivia. All things considered (streams, sales, awards, impact, etc.), which debut era is bigger? Please don’t hesitate to post any receipts to support your choice.
  19. It’s getting ridiculous at this point. I won’t even bother listening to it once I see it’s 2 minutes or less. So many times I’ll hear a song that sounds good or I’ll be anticipating a song release and go and listen and it’s 2 minutes or less. I immediately turn it off now. F*ck that sh*t. Basically every song on Ice Spice’s new album is 2 minutes. Skipped the whole damn thing.

    Do you use TikTok?

Do you use TikTok? I embrace TikTok for what it is and how people are communicating on there mostly to maintain pop/mainstream culture literacy but I don't support the app and I think it's insidious. Most social media apps are but TikTok feels like a different breed. I created an account once, but never used it more than a minute or two so I just ended up deleting it. There's been some funny and interesting content that's came from the app but I don't feel comfortable being an active user of the platform. I'm in my early 20s but I'm totally fine sitting this one out. What about you guys?
