This classic seems rather underrated on ATRL so... Sidenote: I kinda like Katy Perry's Witness imagery because it very much reminds me of Visage.

It did 1.86M (according to CM) sales in US and had a top 10 platinum single which is on par with Christina's Back to Basics, P!nk's and Avril Lavigne's 2007/2006 releases. It was a big upgrade from 2004 American Life which did only 800k in US and barely sold any singles. I kinda wish it crossed the 2M mark in pure sales. Madonna also failed to adopt to streaming era so it wont get justice back. It seems a moderate success in US but at the bottom of the album hit list of it's time. It's my favorite album of hers and one of my favorite albums of all time.

Every time there's an Azealia conversation you can't escape the "Oh, such a wasted talent, she should've been huge" comments. Is she really the best rapper? regardless of her missteps and controversies. If your answer is NO, who is it then?

base talk Debbie Gibson: why couldn't she crossover from teen pop to grown up pop?
Antikythera posted a topic in Base
She was the one holding the record for youngest female to reach #1 before Britney. Singer and songwriter. Her first albums were really big. Then she tried to change her image and never succeed into being an grown up artist. She had 2 #1s 3 top 5s by the time she was 20, she wrote and even produced her hits. She played the piano. She tried to really put on a whole sexy person with a lead emulating Sade's "No ordinary love" and it was the end of her career. She tried to use her full name "Deborah", she came back to Debbie. She open her own label in 2000, do promo in big shows, she was naked on playboy and... flop! Till today she still has to sing the same old songs from when she was 15. Is that to do with Hollywood not letting young women turn into women? At least she went on to have a full on Broadway career. -

Any FFX and FFX-2 fans out there? Does anyone else remember thinking Vegnagun was kind of not scary? Like in the cut scenes he seemed like such a dangerous foe but then when you actually fight him it was so underwhelming and he kind of looked cute lol Sin on the other hand was actually scary AF and the religious, social and cultural chokehold he had on the people of Spira was actually scary AF. Also he was massive an felt omnipresent which also added to the fear and made him a good final boss.

After the major success of Calm Down being the 1st African song to hit 1 Billion streams on Spotify, the GP seems to like him & Selena Gomez seen together publicly. Doesn't hurt to continue the same formula I guess

She's on hiatus, but if this song was released (maybe even with updated vocals or production) with a music video it'd easily go #1. It's been boiling on Tiktok for a long time now. And it's perfect response to haters who hate on her for having a sexuality and moving on after getting divorced. It has a Britney Spears/Mariah Carey flavor to it, it sounds like a classic

The album explored mainly Americana music (country, folk) wiith some pop influences. It was acclaimed by critics receiving a high 88/100 score on Metacritic Noah has been on tour since October 4th 2022 to promote the album. ''The Hardest Part' Tour is set to end October 1st 2023 for a total of 56 dates throughout North America and Oceania My holy trinity from THP : Noah really surpised me with this body of work. The wait was definitely worth it ! She showcased major talent on record. This is an excellent sound for her. The blending of Americana style with pop fits her so well. Loretta's Song and Unfinished make me want to sob. So underrated -
This artist “Souvenir” has this amazing 80’s synth pop sound that’s very Carly Rae Japsen coded. BOPS ALL AROUND!!
