Paint the Town Red is one of Doja's biggest singles ever globally. Planet Her spent 33 weeks in the top 10 and made top 20 year end two years in a row (#11 for 2022 and #20 for 2021) Scarlet (2023) has spent 2 weeks in the top 10 and is #24 in its 5th week. What went wrong? -

With the newest release of 1989 TV and its record breaking first day streaming numbers and since 2020, Taylor’s releases have reach an astronomical level that already put her ahead of her peers since her first 1m opening back in 2010 with Speak Now. Following her is Beyoncé, an artist who debuted about 7/8 years before Taylor. Both artists are the omnipresent multi generational female artists of our times, still able to get hits and compete with new crops of artists since their debut. However the difference between Taylor and Beyoncé’s numbers are considerable. I don’t know if this question has ever been asked but what does Beyoncé genuinely need to have big streaming numbers, therefore big units/sales like Taylor? Her biggest being 2016’s Lemonade 653k.

I’m not sure if it’s just my imagination. I revisited Red TV and suddenly it sounded so much better. The pop tracks don’t feel dead anymore. The bass are punchier. I’m not sure if it’s Apple music updating their spatial audio or Taylor’s team updated the TVs. or maybe… the TVs grown on me that I prefer it now than the original(stolen) version… Discuss ATRL.

Monica is a Spanish singer who is very popular in Mexico and her home country. In the early 2000s Tommy Mottola handpicked her and gave her unlimited funds to make a crossover album. In the process of recording it, her brother fell ill and she wanted to be with him but the executives threatened her with a law suit if she didn't finish the album 'till certain date. She did finish it, but in the process she came to hate this album because of bad memories, the company was merging with another, she didn't want to promote it and they didn't gave her money. She ended up on a 8 years hiatus, totally away from show business. She then comeback with an opera rock album with the #1 single "Europa". Her english crossover Her signature song

This was a Billboard Hot 100 #1 for 2 weeks in 1990 (and it wasn't a gimmick or anything, it was top 25 year-end). 300k views on YouTube. 1.1M streams on Spotify. My mother, who is a huge Bobby Brown fan and was 15 at the time this was released (right in the target demographic) says she has NO RECOLLECTION of this song. I think people say stuff is forgotten way too much on here, but this song might legitimately be erased from the public consciousness. Thoughts?
