  1. Why would Beyonce lip sync to Kelly's vocals on the entire second verse of her biggest hit and not credit her so she could claim it as her first Solo number one song? Let's discuss?
  2. Her comeback after two years hiatus and in the middle of her breakdown... For me it was so different than her previous release, it is mature and seductive. The heavy edm-pop base throb banging against her thin, sultry voice is an eargasm... "Gimme More" still sounds fresh to this day, before we know it, the song is a classic and a pop masterpiece. And of course, It's Britney *****!
  3. I recently had a dream that I was over at my grandparent's house, and when I went to use the bathroom I noticed a sick girl in their bed who turned out to be Sky Ferreira. I tried to ask for a selfie, but she threw up and I had to get a towel to clean it up. I also had a dream pre-ARTPOP that Gaga's new song was a hip-hop/electronic song called Tutor with a 90s themed music video.

Songs That You Think Are “Loud”

Not about Rihanna’s album. It’s a feeling. Whenever I hear Kelly Rowland’s “Commander”, I think: “loud” and it completely turns me off from everything that I am doing in the moment. And of course I wanna turn that **** off immediately. Same with Nicki’s “Pound The Alarm”. Do you guys have similar examples?
  5. I can’t speak for anyone else but I absolutely detested how coverage of entertainment was resulted in the term “snub” being to go to phrase for omissions. Why? I genuinely can’t understand this, did it just because the easiest for SEO? Why is the Today asking Michelle about them? Why is Anthony Anderson discussing his own snubs on late night? Actual snubs happen once about every 10 years or, not when something that folks expected* * not even expected, wanted to happen. Why is Iron Claw suddenly snubbed for the Oscar’s despite not being actively campaigned, or nominated at any precursors? We may as well call M3GAN, The Flash and Sound of Freedom amongst the biggest snubbage of the day. Should look into the actual definition - — “intentional rebuff, ignoring, or spurning disdainfully.” An actual snub implies and involves actual malice behind the thinking, or intentional exclusion. And in the past 10 years I have followed awards, only two instances spring to mind. Jennifer Lopez in 2020 for Hustlers, where several academy members (incline 1959 nominee Terry Moore) stated she and her friends aren’t voting for her because she a talentless starlet who would tarnish their organisation’s reputation. Beyoncé at the Grammys, where members have gone on record about how she is talentless hack who can’t compose; uses genre manipulation to win; and relies on other people work instead. And despite themselves claiming she and the best album of the year, she’s already “got enough, we don’t need to see her win and again her ego doesn’t need any more trophies”. And in the case of Barbie, can you even call those director and actress omission “snubs”, Gerwig made a blockbuster which the directors branch (who votes on the awards) hates with a passion unless your going to win Best Picture (Titanic, Return of the King, Oppenheimer). Any one who follows awards for 2 minutes could see that coming a mile away. James Cameron and Joseph Kosinski all received the same precursors as Gerwig last year for their billion dollar films, where was the outrage for their snubs for saving the entertainment industry? Do the Oscar’s overlook the alleged good work in favour of alleged bad or mediocre, yes. But that’s snubbage. Having bad taste, or liking five other potential candidates more, or failing to perceive good work, that is collective mind hive gathering toward the mean, because that’s what happens when you ask 10,000 to vote, a consensus draws towards the middle. Thots?
  6. What is the Dark side of the moon of female pop world?

  8. Both were huge dance-pop hits of the year they were released
  9. It seems that including your song in a series/movie is one of the best forms of promo right now. Let's look at some facts: Lizzo's career was launched after her old song truth hurts went viral because it was included in a key scene in a netflix movie: - Running Up That Hill - Murder On The Dancefloor - Bloody Mary These songs were also significantly boosted by being attached to movies: - Shallow / Always remember us this way - Dance the night / What was I made for
  10. The fact Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwing didn't get their nominations for the movie has became maybe the hot discussion on the internet . Even Ryan Gosling made a statement basically is all about the others two names snub. Could this give a strong campaign during the vote session and put the movie again on the cultural discussion so the Australian Actress will get a recognition as producer for the movie. Are boring biopics shaking?. Discuss
  11. Post a totally live performance of your fave
  12. Wanted to make a follow up thread to the one I made previously: I loved discovering and listening to all your choices and hopefully we can all get more from this thread! also Sweet is insanely catchy!
  13. It only peaked at #64 on the Hot 100, but it has more streams than Bad Guy, her actual No.1 and it’s still pulling 1.4M daily streams almost 6 years later. Did Lovely win the longevity game and did it end up being Billie’s defining hit song?
  14. They were POP MAGNIFICENT!!!! Why Vanessa/Ashley never reached the Miley/Ariana/Selena/Demi/Olivia level?
  15. I had no idea it was fully out there as of 2022. This track is insane.
  16. Does the 2020s so far have any aesthetics that doesn't rip off any previous decades? Are there any trendsetters ATM? Can we point to any influencers or celebs that are leading the way in terms of fashion/sound? The only things I can think of is the return of 2000s esque midriff fashion in females & personalized covid masks maybe? The whole nu-disco trend is also something pretty significant. Dua's FN era kinda embodies the 2020s for me (so far). And Victoria Monet's whole sound too. Both also use heavy moon imagery in their artwork.
  17. One of his finest.
  18. She could’ve worked on Loud a few more months, maybe release WFL for a Loud reissue or whatsoever. TTT being released only a year later was absolutely unnecessary
  19. What is your fav's least commercial song ?
  20. Destiny's Child Spice Girls Girls Aloud TLC
