  1. Has it? What would you want to hear for her next album?
  2. Joni once said in 2014 when asked about Taylor playing her in a biopic: "I've never heard Taylor's music. I've seen her. Physically, she looks similarly small-hipped and high cheekbones. I can see why they cast her. I don't know what her music sounds like, but I do know this – that if she's going to sing and play me, good luck." Since 2014, Taylor has improved her vocals, and has shown us that she can act. With a bit more training, I have no doubt that she can do Joni justice. On the other hand, it may be difficult for the audience to separate Taylor from the character because she's just too famous. But if anyone can pull it off, it's Taylor.
  3. This absolute classic. Released as the final single of her debut era One of the Boys, it reached #1 on Pop Radio and peaked at #2 in Canada and #9 in the US, becoming her 3rd top 10 of the era. Her best music video if we're being honest Give me some cashout baby Give me some cashout baby
  4. Looks like Synthpop is the staple genre today for so many female artists. After the rise of Synthwave and 80s influenced music in the early 2020s. Synthpop took over as the staple genre for pop females. Disco and House Music too. If im not wrong Synthpop is Pop with electronic touches but very lighter-soft????? and more experimental? Electropop has harder beats? Hits stronger and is clubbier and MORE overproduced? like those 2009-2011 songs Correct me if im wrong Do you like Artists still experimenting with this? Or its time to move on? Should we move to Techno-Pop? Some Synthpop songs of the last times: and some personal favorites of mine
  5. In recent years, we've witnessed revivals/renaissances/new waves of: 70s Disco 80s Synthpop-Synthwave 90s House 2000s Pop Punk-Pop Rock R&B Country People are captivated by throwbacks this decade . Additionally, we've seen celebrities and Gen Z-Milenials embracing the Y2K style and bubblegum aesthetic once more, mixing it up and forging their own unique flair-vibe But it seems artists are not keen on reviving or exploring the early 90s-2000s Cheiron nsync spice girls britney bubblegum max martin influenced teen pop???? that this subgenre isn't gaining any big traction in the mainstream like its counterparts??????? only the 2000s visuals? In the 2010s, pop chanteuses like Austin Mahone, Meghan Trainor, and Charli XCX attempted to revive this type of music on the mainstream charts, but the songs did not achieve major success. They were just minor hits Could this music style never make a proper MAINSTREAM comeback? Maybe it's too corny and soft-cutesy for the charts? What do you think? thanks for all your future comments. Will artists skip the 2000s in the future and go straight to the electropop-electrohouse of the 2010s instead?
  6. Seth Meyers: I wonder if there are people who might think that they were the one you were singing about—if it's easier or far worse for them ten years later. Taylor Swift: I haven't thought about their experience, to be honest. (*flips hair*) So, Swifties coming after and smearing, harassing, threatening and attacking her exes (including Joe who is suffering from depression), their colleagues, their families, their friends, even their exes and new partners—isn't something she thinks about. Must also be the reason she doesn't say anything when Travis' ex-girlfriend (Black woman) gets racist hate from her fans. Her narrative and her wellbeing is more important.
  7. I'm aware that a lot of sites consider Stripped to be Xtina's fourth album but her previous albums after her debut were either Spanish remakes of her original songs or Christmas remakes. This is her 2nd album with original songs.
  8. The beginning of the end for her and that horrid video omg It peaked at #17 on the Hot 100 and began a string of underperformances for her The superior lyric version!
  9. VioletsandRoses

Shakira lacks certs in Japan, why?

All her peers Beyoncé, Destinys Child, P!nk, Britney,JLo and Xtina have gold and platinum singles or albums. Some even with multi-platinum. Even pop girls who are weaker in Asia like Rihanna and Katy Perry managed to get a few certs. I was shocked to see Hips Don’t Lie, Waka Waka, and Laudnry Service not even certified gold. Is her globalness overrated? Japan is the second biggest market after all.
  10. Which is the better bible by the Lorde?
  11. Taylor has songs talking about sex but they're a bit sanitized. Do you think she will ever make sexual songs with no holds barred?
  12. 1000 forms of queer

Is Adele relevant again thanks to Swift?

Her name keeps popping up every time Taylor's sales are brought up recently. 25 really is THAT album HUH?!! I wonder if TPD will sell 1M+ in multiple weeks.
  13. His terrible lip synching to the song (looks AI generated) The fact he thought a laptop was the height of technology The btec Emile Sande feature The terrible rain and spark effects The lifeless club scenes Massive chunks of it being out of focus His random obsession with the UK at the time
  14. Are you.. like me, want to see music like this top the charts and people talk about lyricism!! on music like this? My face is falling my face is falling off 🔫💥🔫💥
  15. Everything went in the RIGHT way and has cemented her status with her back to back to back mega smash tours. A tour probably decimating faves other than Taylor and Beyoncé.
  16. Two inescapable and in demand forces in contemporary pop. Who do you prefer?
  17. There's been a recent surge in discussions about pop female artists taking risks with their releases, especially following the release of Taylor Swift's latest album. Some are debating who the biggest risk-taker in pop is, but was Christina Aguilera the original risk-taker?
  18. BlowYourMind

    Rearrange TTPD tracklist

Across all 31 songs there seems to be a lot of witchcraft related themes as well as the criminal/ escaped prisoner themes. Although I really enjoy the album the 31 tracks together are daunting. I feel like this could have been down into an album themed with the folky witchy songs and the guilty as sin, daddy I love him etc songs. if you were to rearrange the album to be more digestible how would you?
  19. Ugh when will people be over her? I'm a hater. Streaming TTPD the whole week. And this other girl needs to go.
  20. Rate your relevancy/popularity/importance in your workplace, school or any community you belong using the female artists in the poll. Descriptions below: Taylor Swift - the most popular/powerful person in your community Ariana Grande - not the most popular but still quite relevant/popular Lady Gaga - was the most popular/important person in the past but some people are now more popular than you but you are still highly regarded by the people in your community Katy Perry - was the most popular person before but now nobody cares about you Sabrina Carpenter - a rising star Tinashe - talented, hard worker, and determined but still not recognized enough Khia - a total nobody
  21. Are we expecting a third one on Lana's incoming new album "Lasso"?
