    20 years of Mean Girls

Get in, loser. We're going back to 2004. Today marks 20 years since Mean Girls hit theaters, winning over critics and audiences alike with its razor-sharp wit, star-making turns for its mostly then unknown cast led by 2000s quintessential It girl Lindsay Lohan, and obsessively quotable screenplay by Tina Fey. Fast forward two decades and Mean Girls remains as relevant as ever. Arguably, no other movie from the 2000s has had as big of an impact on pop culture. Some reunion pics from over the years:
  2. After 6 weeks, Ariana Grande's 'eternal sunshine' has dropped out of the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. Compared to 'Positions' and 'thank u, next', this is quite fast, as both these albums have spent 18 and 19 weeks in the top 10 respectively. Is this a sign that the US wants R&Biana to make a comeback? Is it time to unleash "the boy is mine"?
  3. When it comes to my taste in music I think that I'm just a rock chick. And I like to rock out. I like to throw sh*t around. But, this song just awakens the homo from within. Everything from the vocals, production and melody are 10/10. I've had it on repeat for the past few days and it seems to get better with each listen. Have you welcomed Sabrina into your life?
  4. Is this the lead single we're expected? It is quirky, fun, catchy and smart song? And now, do you appreciated the song even more?

Bigger era: Hard Candy vs Taking Chances

Released few months from each other, the two eras produced two of the highest-grossing female tours of all time.
  6. This underappreciated atmospheric masterpiece was met with hate from ATRLers and other gays for "not being a lead material" but tasteful people like me knew it was gold from the start Let's appreciate her best song
  7. For how enormous Royals was, I'm kind of stunned that it's only pulling 344k daily. And Lorde's entire discography is only doing 2.3 million By comparison, Lana is doing 1.3 million daily with Summertime Sadness and 1 million with Yes to Heaven - two songs with the same total as Lorde's discography. Melanie Martinez has nearly double the daily streams of Lorde. Halsey has Without Me doubling Royal's streams and more lead streams (2 million more total). Why couldn't Lorde serve longevity in the streaming era like her peers?
  8. Twitter @ChartLana A smash hit nonsingle Is the sequel finally coming?
  9. Nah I won't accept the #7 finish in the race The champagne problems of the album aka 5 minute+ introspective anthem

    Is this Rihanna's best chorus?

Now, I'm not the biggest fan of this album but that soaring chorus hits the spot. Is this Rihanna's best chorus?
  11. SOS vs We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Umbrella vs Shake It Off Take a Bow vs Blank Space Disturbia vs Bad Blood Live Your Life vs Look What You Made Me Do Rude Boy vs cardigan Love the Way You Lie vs willow What's My Name? vs All Too Well (10 Minute Version) Only Girl (In the World) vs Anti-Hero S&M vs Cruel Summer We Found Love vs Is It Over Now? Diamonds vs Fortnight
  12. Fergie's "The Dutchess" stands tall as the #4 biggest album era on the Billboard Hot 100, thanks to its massive singles that resonated deeply with audiences. With hits like "London Bridge" and "Glamorous," Fegrie not only dominated the charts but also helped define the sound of the decade. Are you shook by Fergie's accomplishments and her lasting impact on the music scene?
  13. Being considered decade-defining masterpieces by their stanbases while not rated high (like rated average) by other stanbases or non-harcore stans. I'll start. Blackout by Britney stans. Born This Way by Gaga stans. Folklore/Evermore by Taylor stans. I'd put Invasion of Privacy too but it's completely forgotten now by ATRL since the numbers fell so I don't think it fits there well. As the opposite: NFR! by Lana Plastic Hearts by Miley Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
  14. Who would you say is the most exciting pop girl atm? Why?
  15. #1. Billie Eilish - 46,458,000 (2 albums + 1 EP) #2. Dua Lipa - 40,296,000 (2 albums) #3. BLACKPINK - 34,256,0000 (2 albums + 3 EPs) #4. Doja Cat - 26,271,000 (4 albums + 1 EP) #5. What should Kim Petras do next?

Even as a diehard Kim Petras fan, it's safe to say for the commonfolk of ATRLers, she is not a beloved figure on here. Having paved her way for years in the indie/bubblegum pop realm, she unexpectedly crossed over in a huge way featuring with "Unholy," landing her first Grammy in the process, but has since failed to capitalize on that. "Alone" with Nicki Minaj flopped, no other real single from Feed The Beast came out. Her shelved album Problématique was unexpectedly un-shelved and released with zero fanfare or promo. Feed The Beast Tour happened and seemed to be a surprising success. Sl*t Pop Miami was randomly dropped in Feb 2024, purely for her existing fans and noting the cult classic the original EP has since become over the past couple years. Kim's 2023 was actually super busy and hectic, but now what should she do? Should Kim lean into just worrying about her existing fan base, with cute gay bops, glittery pop gems, the long-awaited Turn Off The Light: Volume 3, or is it time for miss thing to continue to pave her lane as a bonafide pop star in her own right and keep aiming for her own solo hit?
  18. First Lana Del Rey, now Florence + the Machine. Taylor Swift is becoming a darling of the alternative community! Let's actually take a moment to applaud Taylor for spotlighting female alternative artists! Who will be next alt girlie getting Taylor's appreciation? Will it be another 2010s icon again? Marina & the Diamonds? Sky Ferreira? Or will Taylor collaborate with oldschool alternative girlies next? Tori Amos? Fiona Apple? PJ Harvey? Sheryl Crow? Jewel? Alanis Morissette? Bjork???? I lowkey want Tori, Fiona and PJ finally getting a Top 10 hit under their belt tbh
  19. "Give Me All Your Luvin'" is a dance-pop song, with elements of new wave and disco. Commercially, the song attained success, topping the charts in Canada, Finland, Hungary, and Israel in the United States, it became Madonna's 38th top ten hit. Pluggedin: Billboard: Slant: Why were the critics so harsh on this song? Did you grow to like it in the end?
  20. He has 3 songs over a billion despite very limited talent. The youtube views are out of the world too.
  21. https://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/sabrina-carpenter-espresso/ Hailing it as a early favorite for 2024's song of the summer.
  22. There's no denying that these past 2 years have been the best years ever in Taylor Swift's career to date, and of the biggest celebrity peaks in pop culture history in general. Some of the most notable achievements by Taylor in this timeframe include… • Becoming the first and only artist ever to take over the entire Billboard Hot 100 Top 10, and doing it twice. • The Eras Tour being the biggest concert tour in history, with it already having grossed over $1B and headed towards a final gross of $2B+. • The streaming resurgence of "Cruel Summer" and its parent album 'Lover', from being moderately successful Taylor projects to becoming her most streamed song + album ever. • Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour ending up as the highest-grossing concert film ever in theaters. • Being the first entertainer ever named TIME's "Person of the Year" and the first woman in almost 100 years to be featured on the magazine's annual POTY issue for a 2nd time. • Scoring the biggest streaming year on Spotify to date, with over 26B streams gained in 2023 and also becoming the first female artist to rank #1 on Spotify Wrapped's annual year-end chart. • Breaking the record for most AOTY Grammy wins ever, as 'Midnights' became her 4th album to win the music industry's top prize. • And most recently, scoring her own career best and 2nd biggest album debut ever overall with 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT' debuting with over 2.61M units in the US. But which one of these notable achievements by Taylor Swift from the past ~1.5 years do you think is the most impressive?
