I would change this elegant ballad to simply "Wonder". The worst offender. I would simply edit this to All Too Well (Taylor's Version) (Piano Version). Any ridiculous song titles you'd change?

base talk Shaboozey about to enter the Top10 in the US (Spotify) - Beyonces impact?
Kristie Kuwa posted a topic in Base
Lets discuss. Prior to the Beyoncé collab on Cowboy Carter, Shaboozey was pretty much a no name and now he is about to enter the Top10 in the US with his new song. Is Beys impact real or just a myth? -

What/when do you think was Mariah's vocal peak? Feel free to post some examples of your favorite performances/recordings here Personally, I really like how she sounded towards the end of 2001 the way she whistles "never too far" at the end of this is just divine and this classic video was filmed back then too. she caught the Holy Spirit here

In the ever-flowing river of time, it's time we take a reflective pit stop and reconsider our treatment of Ellen DeGeneres. Remember when we collectively hit the cancel button on her? Yeah, that was a moment. But let's zoom out for a sec. Ellen's always been there, dishing out love to our faves and redefining what it means to be an LGBT icon. She's basically the cheerleader of the rainbow squad. So, as we scroll through our mental timeline, maybe it's time to ask ourselves: Did we go a tad overboard with the public persecution? Are we ready to extend that olive branch and say, "Hey Ellen, sorry about the whole backlash thing"? And hey, maybe the GeePee should join in on the introspection party and recognize that, hey, maybe we all overreacted just a smidge. Just food for thought.

base talk Depreciation Thread: Pandemic of cheapness: Unmasking the 'Stupid Love' failure
little legend posted a topic in Base
This thread is a safe place for people with taste( like me ) that absolutely hate this dreadful song. I think we dont discuss enough how bad and cheap this song is and how much it damaged Gagas career( It ruined A Star Is Born hype, made Gaga appeared as someone that releases basic cheap songs without creativity and artistic vision). I just dont understand how such a talented artist can release this song make it the lead single of your highly anticipated album. How can you release masterpieces like Shallow and Always Remember Us This Way back to back and then release this? Share your thoughts about this "song" I wont post its music video , cause that cheap thing doesnt deserve more views. The fact that no one is viewing it , even though it was the lead single of Chromatica, is a great indication of its quality (or better its lack of quality) -
Obviously about women. In terms of success, iconicness and impact. All the factors should be considered. I'd say: 21, Teenage Dream, 1989 and Born To Die. Not sure which should be the fifth. Maybe ANTi in US or Billie's debut WW.

Name them! Bonus question: Can an album be called remembered if most of the streams come from one song? In my very important opinion, I’d say no.

base talk Fantano: TTPD 3/10; Anthology 5/10, says Taylor blatantly copied Lana, Olivia, Ariana
Diesel is Desire posted a topic in Base
- The endless strings of metaphors and similes on this record just fall flat. "The writing quality on these tracks really makes it difficult to feel for Taylor in the midst of all of this heartbreak." - Taylor hasn't taken the time conceptually or sonically to formulate a new sound, a new direction, a new evolution to coincide with this latest album cycle which she usually does with her new albums. "As a result, the material on this record on the broader pop landscape sounds derivative, sounds redundant, sounds uninspired." "I think she's closing those creative gaps by copying her contemporaries' homework. Ariana already wrote the angry at my audience for dragging me over my boyfriend anthem-of-the-year with yes, and? The song imgonnagetyouback - Olivia Rodrigo literally already did this same wordplay concept on get him back! with her latest record. There's already Florida!!! and Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? where Taylor cannot help herself from ripping off Lana Del Rey again and again and again not only lyrically, but vocally and melodically." - She needs to stop working with Jack Antonoff. "To put it bluntly, she needs to stop working with him or take a break because their creative partnership on this record is not yielding the results it used to. We're now getting multiple instrumentals that feel like Midnights but worse." "Jack forcing some awful 80s pastiche onto Taylor's songs that make them sound dated upon impact." "Jack's work with Taylor is just not what it used to be." Positive takeaways: loml is the best song on the album.- 234 replies
