Naomi Jon, who started out rocking makeup tutorials on YouTube, is now hitting the music charts. Known for her bold looks and vibrant personality, she's bringing that same energy to her pop tracks. What do you think of her tunes? Are they as catchy as her makeup looks?

The album's massive popularity at the time of its release made it one of the first instances in which an album's songs would chart prior to them being released as proper singles Fun fact: It was an album cut that was never released as a single and received no promotion and charted on radio for 37 weeks - her 3rd longest running radio single of all time after "Together Again" (53 weeks) and "Again" (38 weeks) (05/06/1993): 69-49-48-38-34-30-38-37-42-43-38-42-41-38-38-35-38-39-37-41-40- 36-42-34-36-36-47-35-34-45-44-44-45 / 33w Re (29/01/1994): 65-63-63-70 / 4w Where, where are you now? Now that I'm ready to Ready to love you The way you loved me then Where are you now? Do you still think of me Or does your heart belong to someone else's?

Not sure if it's only my impression, but by this time (Summer), we've already had inescapable hits in all previous years. Nothing this year seems as big when it comes to culture. I know some songs like "Texas Hold 'Em," "Beautiful Things," "Loose Control," and "Fortnight" have very good stats, and there are songs that may become big such as "Expresso" or a Kendrick track, but we don't have anything really big. Is this only my impression, and I'm getting old, or do you feel the same way? Is the general public less interested in music this year? What are your thoughts? Also, it seems all the big artists already dropped their projects. Are you expecting someone to serve an inescapable cultural moment in the upcoming months?

base talk Why was Kylie unable to surpass Kim as the supreme Kardashian/Jenner?
Feanor posted a topic in Base
Kim Kardashian still remains the most famous and successful member of her family, but for some time in the latter half of the 2010s, Kim was arguably overshadowed by Kylie Jenner in pop culture, who seemed like she well on her way to becoming the new queen of the Kardashian/Jenner clan: Her lip kits were everywhere, she was the first of her family to become a billionaire*, her pregnancy announcement video got massive views on YT, her social media presence was immense and she just generally had a strong grip over youth culture at the time. It seemed like the Paris → Kim evolution was happening again, just this time it was Kim → Kylie… But now in 2024, Kim is pretty much back to being the most relevant of her family. So why do you think was Kylie unable to surpass Kim as the supreme Kardashian/Jenner? Was the GP ultimately not here for KingKylie? -
I listened to it last night for the first time in years and it's kind of aged like ****. Waterfall and the one I die 4 are career highlights though.. what do you think?

base talk Does "But Daddy I Love Him" have Taylor's best lyrics of Tortured Poets?

If all you want is gray for me, then it's just white noise and it's just my choice is one of the most powerful lines I've ever heard I'm having his babyyyyyyyyyy, no I'm not, but you should see your faces I just learned these people only raise you to cage you I'll tell you something right now, I'd rather burn my whole life down than listen to one more second of all this b****ing and moaning I'll tell you something about my good name, it's mine alone to disgrace I don't cater to all these vipers dressed in empath's clothing God save the most judgmental creeps who say they want what's best for me Sanctimoniously performing soliloquies I'll never see Thinking it can change the beat of my heart when he touches me And counteract the chemistry and undo the destiny You ain't gotta pray for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Me and my wild boy and all this wild joy -
