Now that is basically confirmed that Taylor is adding a section for The Tortured Poets Department which songs would you include and unfortunately which songs from the previous set list would you cut? -

base talk For the non-swifties - what would you want for Taylor Swift's 12th studio album?
Timeless posted a topic in Base
Well it's certainly no secret that The Tortured Poets Department is a divisive album - many people either love it or hate it. I've seen more non-swifties on ATRL hating on the album and wishing it had been different. So my question for the non-swifties, what would you like to see for Taylor Swift's 12th studio album that would make you change your mind/opinion of her? And don't say stupid answers like "she should retire" or "nothing" otherwise I'll report you idgaf -
I love watching these old year-end recaps. It's always interesting to see which acts we remember and which we don't. Also, this really was Madonna's year.

base talk Depreciation Thread: Pandemic of cheapness: Unmasking the 'Stupid Love' failure
little legend posted a topic in Base
This thread is a safe place for people with taste( like me ) that absolutely hate this dreadful song. I think we dont discuss enough how bad and cheap this song is and how much it damaged Gagas career( It ruined A Star Is Born hype, made Gaga appeared as someone that releases basic cheap songs without creativity and artistic vision). I just dont understand how such a talented artist can release this song make it the lead single of your highly anticipated album. How can you release masterpieces like Shallow and Always Remember Us This Way back to back and then release this? Share your thoughts about this "song" I wont post its music video , cause that cheap thing doesnt deserve more views. The fact that no one is viewing it , even though it was the lead single of Chromatica, is a great indication of its quality (or better its lack of quality) -
How great was she? And how awesome it is that even this new generation appreciates the Queen of Pop I think this is her best song ever besides Prayer

base talk Songs that you thought came out earlier but were released later
Mandalay posted a topic in Base
For example, I always thought this song was released in late 70s or something, but actually it came out in 92/93. Another example is Ricky Martin's 'Livin la vida loca'. The melody was retro. That's why. Zombie by the Cranberries too. Share your experience. -

base talk Is THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT the clear frontrunner for Album of the Year now?
KatyPrismSpirit posted a topic in Base
Its breaking unprecedented streaming records and is set for a massive first week debut. The album also stands at a 84 metacritic score. Is Taylor eyeing her fifth album of the year win? Or will Beyoncé, another artist or possibly Billie Eilish (former AOTY winner) walk away with it next year?- 215 replies

Recently discovered them & this sound is so nostalgic, very reminiscent of peak Linkin Park. The lead vocalist has thee slickest voice. They're a Memphis based rock/pop/metalcore band that deserve much more recognition. Check out their latest EP "Paper Hearts", every song knocks- you won't be disappointed.

I keep seeing people saying current big hits are only smashing because of autoplay. However, no one seems to be able to produce any actual evidence that this is happening. Kinda feels like it's become a stan conspiracy theory - "Oh I don't like this song, so surely the only way it's smashing is because of autoplay"

base talk Can Lisa become the female counter part of Jungcook in the US?
duybeeGAshantiGA posted a topic in Base
Or a MPG in general? Or at least become the female Jungcook in the US and WW? What do you see as a possibility for Lisa now she goes solo and gets signed to RCA. She created her own Label LLOUD that also signed a special deal with RCA to distribute her music. Mind you she is the biggest Kpop female solo act globally atm. Money will hit 1B on Youtube soon. Money is the biggest solo song by a female Kpop artist ever with 1.1B streams WW. She is also the first and only female solo artist from Kpop to win a VMA and an EMA. -
A remix of her popular 1980 song PEDRO has gone viral on TikTok. The remix was released on March 29 and it has quickly gained popularity on social media. The remix is currently #4 on Shazam global songs. https://www.shazam.com/charts/top-200/world Here is the Spanish version also released in 1980
