  1. Is her Teenage Dream upon us?
  2. Such a perfect synthpop song, but which MPG could’ve made this song a bonafide hit?
  3. She went from effortlessly debuting at the top to needing a billion versions of her “single” to top the chart (which will obviously free fall to the pits after week 1) The fact that she’s doing all of the below just to lead by 5 points on the Hot 100 shows that her fanbase and overall power has significantly diminished. How is she unable to largerly increase the points margin (considering how many versions of the song there are)? Her public image is already in the mud and the song keeps decreasing in streams everyday. How can she turn this around before it’s too late? I like the song btw and don't hate her Exhibits:
  4. I feel like his debut is often at times overlooked in his discography, Not only is it a solid project and was basically a concept project, but it hosted really interesting ideas and sounds I wish he explored again. What really sells me on this record is the cohesion, transitions ,songwriting and over all story. It's probably his best ,if not this then AfterHours Here are some of my faves: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHFkGnnJVTI&list=&index=3
  5. Make your pop culture prediction for 2024
  6. Yesterday Sabrina Carpenter recent single “Feather” surpassed “yes, and” on pop radio after the latter surpassed that song on its week of release. But after that the Ariana radio updates slowed down while Sabrina's picked up even more, making their distant bigger and so on. Are you surprised about this fact considering people will start to paid Sabrina dust again now that Ariana is back? It seems otherwise
  7. Not a single note was hit, but it still BOPPED. Bella the pop girl you could’ve been!
  8. Just listened to this song for the first time in ages and it still sounds so fresh to me, especially the chorus. It was only a minor top 20 hit in the UK though, do you feel like this catchy feel-good bop should've been a ww hit? btw she was later part of a duo called 'Little Fix'
  9. The princess of Latin Pop is coming 01/31/24
  10. George R. R. Martin is the author of Game of Thrones, who hasn't finished the book series which has upset book readers for over a decade now. The last book was published in 2008. Rihanna has delayed a new album for 8 years now and counting and has been teasing music since 2019. Her fans are in a similar predicament as fans of the book series. Is Rihanna the musical equivalent of George R. R. Martin?
  11. I don't think I've seen a thread dedicated to this electro-pop masterpiece. Oh Ilya, the excelent producer that YOU ARE. One of my favorite Tove Lo songs, and it probably has to be one of her very best. I swear something takes over my body when the 2nd chorus started, holy freaking ****. The drums DRUMMING so hard Words can not describe how perfect this song is!
  12. Streams yesterday on Spotify - SOUR: 7.4M - GUTS: 7M
  13. The first one that came to mind tbh
  14. To some, there are certain albums that came at a time in their lives where said albums defined a period of; feeling, change, inspiration, etc. Which albums defined/changed you and why? There are (so far) five albums that I vividly remember came at a time that made a profound impact in my life. Pure Heroine, Lorde (2013)- changed the way I listen, view, and appreciate music. Made my closeted self think more about my loneliness and future. Melodrama, Lorde (2017)- same as PH but in a broader lens. Rainbow, Kesha (2017)- as a die hard Kesha fan, this triumphant return inspired me in a big way. Golden Hour, Kacey Musgraves (2019)- having never been a fan of country music, I gave it a listen after its Grammy wins and was completely blown away. folklore, Taylor Swift (2020)- this came at such a confusing time for everyone, especially for me. I was in a deep depression with many things in my life going wrong, this album helped me get through some of those worst times. There are many more albums that impacted me and some might be "better" than these listed, but as any music fan will know only certain ones can keep you company during a time of need.
  15. Throwback to this iconic picture. We weren’t ready for ANTI
  16. Do Spotify users serve taste with the order of her top songs?
  17. Why would Beyonce lip sync to Kelly's vocals on the entire second verse of her biggest hit and not credit her so she could claim it as her first Solo number one song? Let's discuss?
  18. Her comeback after two years hiatus and in the middle of her breakdown... For me it was so different than her previous release, it is mature and seductive. The heavy edm-pop base throb banging against her thin, sultry voice is an eargasm... "Gimme More" still sounds fresh to this day, before we know it, the song is a classic and a pop masterpiece. And of course, It's Britney *****!
  19. I recently had a dream that I was over at my grandparent's house, and when I went to use the bathroom I noticed a sick girl in their bed who turned out to be Sky Ferreira. I tried to ask for a selfie, but she threw up and I had to get a towel to clean it up. I also had a dream pre-ARTPOP that Gaga's new song was a hip-hop/electronic song called Tutor with a 90s themed music video.
  20. Lana Banana

Songs That You Think Are “Loud”

Not about Rihanna’s album. It’s a feeling. Whenever I hear Kelly Rowland’s “Commander”, I think: “loud” and it completely turns me off from everything that I am doing in the moment. And of course I wanna turn that **** off immediately. Same with Nicki’s “Pound The Alarm”. Do you guys have similar examples?
