IVE has 3M streams per day while SKZ 20 no matter what SKZ will stomp so I don’t get the dives are doing a streaming party to go against SKZ when dives fight more fearnots than stays. Mass streaming is much easier on Spotify where you can just close your phone and it keeps playing non-stop from a playlist. Stans prefer streaming on Spotify since free streams hardly make an impact on the charts. You would never see stans organising a streaming party on Youtube. Stans have become chart obsessed, just like their faves and therefore, have deflected from Youtube or free streams. Also, spotify is very fanbase driven for western artists (what the entire conversation was about). Last fm will tell you that certain artists needed just 4-5 M unique listeners to garner 1B streams which is insane. On another note, for artists who do not have massive fanbases but GP appeal, their songs tend to do well both on Youtube and Spotify. Flowers is a very recent example of this.

It did get promo. The radio push is promo, it was playing since day 1 lol. They played this at the NBA all star events which was only a day after the song dropped. Latto has been going hard on tiktoks, ig, tweeting, etc. posting about the song and she hosted a streaming party on Stationhead. Latto has been in controversy since before the song dropped (like the cheetah panty drama and the Omegle situation) and used every opportunity to plug the song. Latto also has been on a big promo run for being chosen as a Billboard woman of the year and did a big photoshoot. Lottery is just a slow burner.
