  1. it really takes a huge effort if Kelly Clarkson disses someone but the way she ended him is just in a whole new level
  2. TikTok is very different from any other app. It connects you to people with the same niche interest. When I used to use Instagram I had like 114 followers. On Tiktok I have 1437. (Keep in mind the number really doesn’t matter, it’s the community you find that does) Just curious how many followers on TikTok do ARTLers have?

Is Trustfall by P!nk a grower?

So after some months I think that it’s a great record and winter is also boosting the mood. Turbulance, Long Way To Go, Lost Cause, Our Song… probably the whole except NGNDA is so good. What do you think? Lost Cause is also one of my most played song this year
  4. Miss Kelly has the greatest voice in the industry, imagine convincing Taylor Swift.
  5. After her monumental achievements and incredibly undeniable relevance and dominance, are you still trying to ignore the fact that Taylor Swift is the biggest artist that has debuted this century??? Taylor has everything to support this title. She's the most streamed female artist (soon to be the most streamed artist OVERALL) on Spotify. She's a touring legend and possibly the biggest touring act of the century. She's an album/single seller, especially in this climate where pure sells have gone to hell, yet She's selling albums and singles like hot cake. She's the most talked about artist of the year all around the world, with universities honoring her by studying her artistry, TV shows honoring her by celebrating her career, presidents and mayors begging her to step foot into their country, people from different countries performing at gigs inspired by her career and tours, her inspiring a new generation of artists to write their own songs and own their art, her fighting with industry norms and artists rights, being named Person of the Decade two decades into her career, reaching new peaks everyday, not having a single "flop" album in her discography, and her having zero competition in the industry. Some of the most unsubstantiated and baseless claims that she is a "local" artist or that she is culturally irrelevant were proven to be bullshit this last year. It's ok to not like her or her music, but be honest with yourself, do you still think she's not the biggest artist of the century and possible among the most memorable legends of all time. (I'd even say she's top5 biggest musicians of ALL TIME)
  6. the ceo loves my contributions but my coworkers think im a showoff. honestly it gets toxic and my escape is making android threads on atrl. should i care or should i just listen to taylor?
  7. DEADLINE: SAG-AFTRA Contract Talks Fail To Reach Deal; National Board Meeting Thursday Morning To Launch Strike; Sides Issue Statements It will be the first actors strike against the film and television industry since 1980 and the first time that actors and writers have been on strike at the same time since 1960, when Ronald Reagan was president of the Screen Actors Guild. Picketing is set to begin Friday morning. Here is the full statement from SAG-AFTRA: SAG-AFTRA’s Television/Theatrical/Streaming contracts have expired without a successor agreement. After more than four weeks of bargaining, the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) — the entity that represents major studios and streamers, including Amazon, Apple, Disney, NBCUniversal, Netflix, Paramount, Sony and Warner Bros. Discovery — remains unwilling to offer a fair deal on the key issues that are essential to SAG-AFTRA members. In the face of the AMPTP’s intransigence and delay tactics, SAG-AFTRA’s negotiating committee voted unanimously to recommend to the National Board a strike of the Producers-SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical/Streaming Contracts which expired July 12, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. PT. SAG-AFTRA’s National Board will vote Thursday morning on whether to strike. The union will hold a press conference today, Thursday, July 13, at 12 noon PT at SAG-AFTRA Plaza in Los Angeles, following the conclusion of the National Board vote. The strike will shut down films and scripted TV shows that employ SAG-AFTRA members not just in the United States but around the world. Soap operas, which fall under a separate contract, are exempted. Under the guild’s Global Rule One: “No member shall render any services or make an agreement to perform services for any employer who has not executed a basic minimum agreement with the union, which is in full force and effect, in any jurisdiction in which there is a SAG-AFTRA national collective bargaining agreement in place. This provision applies worldwide.” HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: Writers Guild Reaches Tentative Agreement With Studios and Streamers, Union Says The Writers Guild of America emailed strike captains the news on Sunday night, and shortly after, its negotiating committee informed members. “We have reached a tentative agreement on a new 2023 MBA, which is to say an agreement in principle on all deal points, subject to drafting final contract language,” the message stated. “We can say, with great pride, that this deal is exceptional – with meaningful gains and protections for writers in every sector of the membership.” The parties came to terms on a provisional three-year agreement, which will need to be ratified by WGA members to take effect, on Sunday after studios responded to last-minute union asks that day. Specifics of the deal affecting around 11,500 WGA members weren’t available as of press time, though they will undoubtedly emerge in the next few days as the union seeks to sell its members on the pact. The mood among writers on Friday’s packed picket lines was one of cautious optimism, as union members anticipated that the end of the historic work stoppage might be soon. “The fact that they’ve been talking for three days straight is terrific,” showrunner Marc Guggenheim (Legends of Tomorrow) told The Hollywood Reporter at Disney. Studio-side sources familiar with the progress in the room also projected positivity over the past several days as management made moves on issues including A.I., TV staffing and residual compensation tied to streaming show performance. That buoyant mood dipped on Thursday night, when studio sources claimed the WGA came back late in the night with new asks on items that management believed to be already closed; but returned on Friday as the sides nailed down compromises. Though still tentative in nature, the agreement is a momentous development for an industry that has been hobbled by the double WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the first time both have occurred at once in over 60 years. The WGA strike had an immediate impact: Filming in Los Angeles declined 29 percent between April and June 2023 compared with the same period last year as the writers’ work stoppage began May 2, local office FilmLA reported on April 19. A wide array of major projects were halted in their tracks and/or postponed, including Netflix’s Stranger Things, Apple TV+’s Loot, Marvel’s Blade 2 and Thunderbolts and others. When SAG-AFTRA joined the stoppage, a number of additional projects including Venom 3, Gladiator 2 and Deadpool 3 followed. A tentative agreement does not eradicate the potential for the strike to continue, as WGA members could still reject the deal in an upcoming ratification vote. The stakes and expectations are high, given how long the work stoppage has gone on so far. However, in the coming days the WGA leadership will undoubtedly work hard to persuade their members of the deal’s merits. Now, it’s up to the WGA’s members to determine whether the deal satisfies the workplace issues that their peers have been raising for months. All eyes are on the union’s ratification vote for the deal, whose date has not yet been announced.
  8. I recently noticed that miss dua lipa and cher have so many similarities from looks and lack of vocal abilities but both of them were able to create some hits , do you think dua lipa will have the same path as cher , remembered as a throwback? Thoughts ?
  9. So this is for my gym rats in hera. Could you date a guy who has no (or little) definition? Would you expect your bf/hubby to have the same amount of definition that you have or are you okay with your bf/hubby not having a six pack, arms or legs? I'm not super buff or vain so I'm not particularly choosy when it comes to looks. However, I'ma NEED my future boothang to either have a naturally toned legs (nothing too grotesque though) or attend some leg day appointments I set up tbh.
  10. kind of interested in knowing what would make people happy these days.
  11. Tate McRae’s exes is 52 on Spotify USA while Houdini is 143. Why?
  12. So to start off with, in one way I am "grateful" for what I have, physically (and I put the word in quotes because it seems odd to be grateful for something I did not earn, or one that I feel is bizarrely put on a pedestal): height (6'2), and being able-bodied (again the implication is NOT that there is anything wrong with not being able-bodied, but rather that it is valorized by society for again, little reason). I have naturally broad shoulders/back, and an alright face + jaw I have been told. But yet, I have always really disliked my body for not being shredded, and I hate going to the gym. I sacrificed so much for achieving muscularity and losing pandemic weight through 2021-2022, but since I've recently made a big change in my life I haven't been able to regularly go for the last 3/4 months, maintain nutrition or whatever. I categorically do not enjoy going to the gym, and I feel like trash when I see these people 5x bigger than me. At worst, I was only slightly overweight during 2020, but I still constantly felt bad even after losing it. And now that I'm losing weight (unhealthily, I might add) and muscle, I feel horribad constantly. Why do I feel like I HAVE to go to the gym? I can never quite trace the answer for this. I don't like it, it stresses me out, and I don't enjoy the process. Even the litany of mental issues I have feel slightly more manageable than becoming a gym bro (which I was, for almost 1.5 years, but made slow progress because of where I started). Is it just me and my insecurities? Is it socially absorbed? Is it pressures from the community to look a certain way? Ironically, I see the muscle gu(a)ys fight for their life online when they see someone that is not at near single digit bf% be appreciated for...existing. People argue till blue in the face that ~radical body positivity people are forcing people to be obese, but I have only always felt pressure to be muscular. Thoughts?

    classier: blue or green?

    which color is classier?
  14. Just like title suggests, what are some songs where the lyrics in the verse melody follows almost exactly the main instrumental melody of the song. A few example: "She's into superstitions..." mirrors the brass hook's melody "As he came into the window, was a sound of a crescendo..." mirrors the bassline's melody " I came to have a party..." mirrors the main flute synth melody
  15. Minus the obvious (LGBT for most of us unfortunately), are there any group of people that your parents spoke down on, or cautiously about, however you got with one, or a few, of their men (even for a fling) anyway? I've topped Caucasians & a few South Asian dudes so...sorry mom . My parents never really outright disapprove of them for the record. They just have trauma & resulting trust issues from the way they've been DONE DIRTY by particular groups of people. Plus, they rather us end up with someone from our ethnicity anyway just to preserve tradition.
  16. in a recent YouGov Poll, 54% of Democrats said they wanted someone to challenge Joe Biden, while only 28% said they didn't want anyone to challenge him, and 18% said they were not sure... However, when pollsters have put other Democratic primary candidates against Biden, the only one that consistently polls highest is Hillary Clinton. Polls have shown that the majority of Democrats + Americans are most concerned about Biden due to his age (81 years old). The most recent poll showed that 56% of Democrats were concerned by his age, while 73% of Americans overall are concerned about his age. His likely opponent for the general election is 4 years younger than him, and Hillary Clinton is 5 years younger (and 2 years younger than Biden on the day he was elected). If it were an option, would you prefer Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee, or are you riding with Joe? https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4312623-most-democrats-in-favor-of-biden-challenger-poll/ https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4191741-over-half-of-democrats-concerned-about-bidens-age-poll/
  17. Because they’re a danger to wildlife? What are your thoughts? Should cats be BANNED to roam freely outdoors because our ecosystem will then collapse? thoughts??
  18. This is so MESSY but I think it deserves to be discussed.

  20. Sony says Mythbusters and more Discovery TV shows are going away whether you bought them or not The promise of digital media is that it can last forever, pristine and undisturbed by the forces of entropy constantly buffeting the material world. Unfortunately, a mess of online DRM and license agreements means that we mostly don’t own the digital stuff we buy, as most recently evidenced by the fact that Sony is about to delete Mythbusters, Naked and Afraid, and tons of other Discovery shows from PlayStation users’ libraries even if they already “purchased” them. The latest pothole in the road to an all-digital future was discovered via a warning Sony recently sent out to PlayStation users who purchased TV shows made by Discovery, the reality TV network that recently merged with Warner Bros. in one of the most brutal and idiotic corporate maneuvers of our time. “Due to our content licensing arrangements with content providers, you will no longer be able to watch any of your previously purchased Discovery content and the content will be removed from your video library,” read a copy of the email that was shared with Kotaku. “Is there a way I can save this content?” asked one panicked PlayStation user on Reddit. “I use PS4...But I have bought many seasons of shows such as Dual Survival that I do not wish to lose. I was actually under the impression since I owned it, I wouldn’t ever lose it…” Movies and TV shows first came to the PlayStation Network in 2008 via the PS3. At the time it was possible to transfer the content you bought between devices for viewing on things like the PlayStation Portable. Sony removed that option beginning with the PS4 and beyond. Now, essentially anything you buy on PSN, whether a PS5 blockbuster or, uh, Police Women of Cincinnati, is essentially just on indefinite loan until such time as the PlayStation servers die or the original copyright owner decides to pull the content. https://kotaku.com/sony-ps4-ps5-discovery-mythbusters-tv-1851066164
