  1. "White culture" is not a thing. Calling her a nazi may be a bit extreme, but she defiinitely sounds ignorant.

  3. More or less, yes. When you hear the average Black American talk about Black Culture, they mean Black Culture in America. There is major discourse that circulates fairly often on Black spaces between the differences between Black American culture, Black Immigrant Culture, and specific African/Caribbean cultures. There are some instances of Panafricanism that you’ll see (e.g: supporting other Black athletes and nations during the Olympics), because there’s a shared global struggle under colonialism/slavery that has created some global “markings” for Black folks regardless of specific cultural origins, but it wouldn’t be to say that all Black folks have the same culture. You will then also see a fringe subset of Black Americans who try to lay claim to a different culture (“we were the original Isrealites,” “we were kings of Egypt,” “we were the original Native Americans” etc.), but those are a weird minority that I don’t want to explain more than I have to about. There are specific cultures within whiteness (Irish, Italian, etc.) that make sense to have pride in, but the “White Pride” movement insofar as it relates to chronically online people on platforms like X and 4chan relies heavily on white people from vague cultural backgrounds obsessing over the historical supremacy of Roman society, this weird obsession with tradcon aesthetics (think small farm communities where the women are young milkmaids and don’t work), and the denigration of other races.

  4. Her culture is Canadian culture aka diet American culture. Not white culture, whatever that means. Someone from Albania and someone from Norway don't have the same culture.

  10. She is a Canadian living in America of English, Irish, Swedish and Italian ancestry. When you have no coherent identity, you have to make one up. She has to lump disparate groups together to create an identity that matches her own confusion.

  15. she's doing well for independent artist who just been through **** with her label and tony lanez. like she's staying booked and blessed with all of her side gigs. give her some time to breath and do it right. she fights for her **** and works really hard, we should appreciate it.

  18. She's a fighter. She could've let the stan world harassment get to her and spend her days being a lazy socialite/reality TV/beauty/social media influencer and look the way she doesn't like and live her life far from her desired fullest. She picked herself up, remembered who the eff she is, realised her music catalogue and aesthetics are much more than commercial appeal and success and just focuses on serving, doing all the things we love her for and much much more: all while being a great mother, wife and excelling in all the roles life entrusted her. Always been a big fan, wouldn't say 'stan' necessarily but this is how I aspire to age and move on from my unfulfilling childhood, teens and early 20's as I turn 25 next year. Thank you Xtina - can't hold us down indeed

  21. Taylor’s 2023. From the historic tour, the massive concert movie, her domination on streaming and sales, her literally having half a dozen smash albums simultaneously, her cultural ubiquity… and all of that leading to her becoming TIME’s first entertainer to be named POTY since 1927, Taylor really smashed in every possible way imaginable. Add the fact that she did all of this as an already established icon of 15+ years, and Taylor’s 2023 is really the type of artist peak we’ve never seen, at the very least in this century.

  22. It was a very different time for pop stars and award recognition. Madonna, Mariah and Whitney don’t have many either (by current standards). At least her one Grammy performance is amazing and iconic!

  25. Is the peer in the room with us? OT: She’s the leading role of two successful movies. In both, she was widely acclaimed and had garnered prestigous acting awards including a best actress nom at the Oscars. Fast forward to today, she has booked her most high profile role in film… a role only other A-listers can get. She IS successful.
