witness1.3 Posted May 5, 2017 Author Posted May 5, 2017 (edited) May 5. 2017 Holding the #1 spot for a second week is Lady Gaga’s The Cure, which increases it lead over previous chart topper Symphony by Clean Bandit & Zara Larsson, currently at #2. Katy Perry has two songs in the top five this week, as Chained To The Rhythm featuring Skip Marley holds at #3 for a second week, and her newest single Bon Appetit featuring the Migos moves up eleven spots to #5. In between the two Katy Perry singles is the new collaboration from Kygo and Ellie Goulding, First Time moving eight spots into the top five at #4. Despite gaining in plays, Carly Rae Jepsen’s Cut To The Feeling is pushed down two spots to #6. Halsey’s holds steady at #7 with Now Or Never, and Zedd & Alessia move down three spots to #8 with Stay. Bebe Rexha’s I Got You reenters the top ten after falling out last week, by rising two spots to #9. Some Kinda Wonderful by Betty Who rounds out the top ten for a second week. Other notable chart positions: The Weeknd’s I Feel It Coming finally reaches a new peak at #18, after stalling for a few weeks. The biggest gainer of the week is the 2014 single Blank Space by Taylor Swift, which leaps twenty spots to a new peak of #25. The biggest faller of the week is cupcakKe’s Scraps, which falls eighteen spots to #38 after peaking last week at #20. witness1.3 Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 (edited) May 13th 2017 ______________________________________________________________________ New Changes The certification system has now been edited to slow down how fast songs can be certified multi-diamond. The current rule of 200 plays still stands, however now it takes 100 more plays to be certified multi-diamond instead of the original 50. Currently this only affects Chained To The Rhythm, which could have been certified 5x Diamond, however it will now need to reach 500 plays to reach that status. The new certification system also includes albums now. The albums system follows pretty much in line with the singles. For example, a bronze album certification for a single is 25 plays, and for an album it is 250 plays. Bronze = 250 Silver = 500 Gold = 750 Platinum = 1000 (x2=1200, x3=1300) Diamond = 2000 (x2=2500, x3=3000, x4=4000) The OP has been updated with new graphics (again!!) but this time I actually put effort into it, so please check it out! ______________________________________________________________________ Lady Gaga reigns for a third week, as The Cure spends another week at #1, and becomes her first song to spend 3 weeks on the top. Both Kygo & Ellie Goulding’s First Time and Katy Perry & Migos Bon Appetit are up two spots, rising to #2 and #3 respectively. Both songs will be competing for the #1 spot next week. Chained To The Rhythm by Katy Perry and Skip Marley moves down one spot to #4 on its fourteenth week in the Top 5. Previous chart topper Symphony by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson is down three spots to #5. In a game of chart hopscotch, Zedd and Alessia Cara’s Stay rebounds two spots again to #6, and pushes Carly Rae Jepsen’s Cut To The Feeling to #7. Making a surprising late entry into the Top 10 is The Weeknd’s I Feel It Coming, as it leaps ten spots to a new peak of #8. This is The Weeknd’s fourth Top 10 hit from his latest album Starboy. Bebe Rexha is steady at #9 with I Got You, and Halsey moves down three spots to #10 with Now Or Never. Other notable chart positions: The highest debut of 10 newest entries goes to Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato’s No Promises. Julia Michaels makes her chart debut with Issues debuting at #49. The biggest gainers of the week both go to Betty Who, as Beautiful and her newest single Mama Say rebound back into the Top 30. The biggest faller is Biggie Smalls by cupcakKe, which sky falls twenty-nine spots to #50. cupcakKe’s LGBT and Spider-Man Dick both spend their 30th week on the chart at #43 and #44 respectively.
