ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 12, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 12, 2017 And wtf is up with your spoon choice????
Diarrhoea Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Shether was a moment and Bodak Yellow is a bop! Vintage is overrated but the album is nice
Tom Vercetti Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Vintage is a keeper and one of Allie's best. Spoon was another lowkey act but the title track outsold.
Pink Matter Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Liked a few of your HM's (Cave Me In and 1 Night) and enjoyed Everything Now. Haven't heard many of the others but I'll check em out soon! Can't wait for the rest
Bubble Tea Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I don't know any of these songs and I feel like I probably wouldn't like them either lol. Nonetheless good on for getting your rate well underway.
bluth Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 shether was a scream. everything now was aculy really good (THE SONG. THE SONG WAS REALLY GOOD) it just got overshadowed by a ****ty album, a bon appetit tea
jose168 Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 Hey ladies 60. It's A Trip - Joywave This song does voice a worry of mine in life. Like you work really hard to achieve something but then what?? 59. What If? - Tokio Hotel TH are very underrated on ATRL considering the sheer bops that they have. I like the lead singers kinda spacey/lispy vocals. 58. Humongous - Declan Mckenna Declan has a way of bringing his youth in a very coming of age narrative that is similar to lorde especially in her debut. A snarky little critique at a political system that excludes the youth in a playful childish manner. 57. Burning - Sam Smith Unpopular opinion (here) but i kind of love that Sam Smith stuck to his sappy ballads this era. The minimalistic mostly piano lain productions allow his voice to roam free. I especially love the It's like the fire replaced all the love refrain. 56. Summer Days - Rhye I was actually never much of a Rhye fan but I really liked Please and Summer Days. Very breezy tracks and her voice is obviously beautiful.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 12, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 12, 2017 Legit haven't heard any of these well I heard a few of Declean's songs, they were cute and I prob would like them more if I gave them another chance or two.
Pedro Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 "Burning" may be one of the deepest songs I've heard during this year. It's heartbreaking.
Diarrhoea Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Declan McKenna is weird, at once both under appreciated and vastly overrated

MusicLoverDude Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I haven't listened to a Tokio Hotel song in ages. I should check this song out. Ready Set Go was my ish back in 2008
SLIME Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 those rhye songs that dropped together were all kewl but didn't really stick with me like that ima check the joywave track because cover slaps
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 12, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 12, 2017 i'll listen to Rhye and Joywave after I'm done w/ this Prince album.
jose168 Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 55. Cherry - Lana Del Rey I figured i should pander to the little del rey's, so here is my favorite cut on L4L. The album was choppy for me, trying to appeal to too many of her perceived audiences but cherry was spot on for me. Signature Lana vocal-isms and beautiful ~tragic~ lyrics. I love the image of ruined innocence in her garden. 54. Eyes Closed - Halsey If you keep your eyes closed you can hear abel all over this. It's no surprise he handled the melody, and the output is great. 53. Sign Of The Times - Harry Styles This was a moment when it came out. And there are still good things about it, his voice sounds great and he emotes well. Immaculately produced, sounding like a long lost bowie cut. However, for something that is supposed to be a this poignant statement, he really doesn't address much. 52. Despacito - Luis Fonsi/Daddy Yankee Luis Fonsi has never had much of a notable career, at least not that i remember. Daddy Yankee is a legend but he's also been out of the limelight for a bit. So teaming up for the most infectious and probably biggest summer song ever did PR proud. En Español too. 51. So Fine - The Lemon Twigs I've been trying to push these guys to be a thing for a bit now (well since their last album which i loved), and while the EP was not amazing, So Fine is just fine. I always love jangle pop tribute acts.

ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 12, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 12, 2017 Eyes Closed is actually nice. Like there's an emotional longing to it that feels genuine. Probably my 5th fave on that album and the album is overall... meh there's a good album hiding in it somewhere. Cherry? I seriously expected everyone to rally under one Lana song but I haven't seen it anywhere. SOTT is cute, but I got over it quick. Props to him for following his own sound and it working out though. Despacito is fine. I really don't like the chorus though if I'm being honest. But I'm not pressed at its success.
Tom Vercetti Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Nice to see Joywave here. Cherry's fine and Eyes Closed was an alright The Weeknd impression.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Cherry one of the best LFL album tracks Eyes Closed was cute at first, but there's many better tracks on album SOTT
