Tom Vercetti Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Here for this. Is that #1 song of 2016 still current?

Sunderland 4ever Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 La Bicicleta. What a guilty pleasure. I'll be checking your Western music list.
jose168 Posted December 11, 2017 Author Posted December 11, 2017 Honorable Mentions one song per artist so these (lead artists)losers didn't make it Cave Me In - Gallant/Tablo/Eric Nam - A nice r&b ballad but i feel like it was a very safe attempt to break the english market. Shether - Remy Ma - This was hilarious, but listening to someone rag at Nicki Minaj for 7 minutes gets old No Lie - Sean Paul/Dua Lipa - Dua Lipa has such a great voice for pop music. Happy the better song smashed harder though. What Lovers Do - Maroon5/SZA - SZA sounds great here, nice to here going for these clear notes. Little Bit More - Jidenna - Should have been a big hit for him, has all the elements. Oh Devil - Electric Guest - Kind of the better funk infused 'alt-rock' pop tracks (looking at feel it still). Deja Vu - Prince Royce/Shakira - A nice slow bachata song, it instantly reminds me of the greats which is nostalgic for me. 1 Night - Mura Masa/Charli XCX - Got lost in Charli's onslaught of givingthegayswhattheywant.gif Mo Bounce - Iggy Azalea - This got annoying. But it's spunky nonetheless. Feel It Still - Portugal. The Man - Not as good as Oh Devil (see above) but its a nice radio song.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 11, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 11, 2017 Mo Bounce is the best on this.
K$Ellie Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 No Lie I love Dua's bits in it even if Sean Pauls drags it down a biT Shether is iconic Feel It Still, Mo Bounce and 1 Night
Tom Vercetti Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 One positive thing I can say about Iggy is some of her production choices. Cave Me In was hot for around a week but I still use it.
jose168 Posted December 11, 2017 Author Posted December 11, 2017 70. Everything Now - Arcade Fire 69. Bodak Yellow - Cardi B I will always root for the underdog, and cardi's energy on a track is always phenomenal. 68. Unforgiving Girl (She's Not An) [2017] - Carseat Headrest The updated version of this track has some real swing to it 67. In Cold Blood - Alt-J A summer song, and the code reference (even if just unicode) gets my nerd senses tingling 66. Hidden Knives - AFI This is one of my favorite AFI tracks in forever, takes me straight to the highlights of infectious 2005 emorock.
JGibson Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 HM: What Lovers Do + Feel It Still 70-66: 3/5 Everything Now
Tom Vercetti Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I don't remember a single thing from alt j Everything Now the song was fine for what they were serving. Gotta check out that Carseat reboot. The only thing I heard from them this year was that bandcamp war track.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 11, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 11, 2017 Arcade Fire is underrated this year. Everything Now and three other tracks are at the very least 4/5 star songs.

rihannafan Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 i lost respect for cardi when she bragged about her (potential) kids bullying others so i'm glad you kicked her out early unlike P4k
potent Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I use your top 2 from last year, Lazarus, Feel It Still Everything Now is a grower, I still don't love it but as a lead single it works. Lol let me check AFI, the last song of theirs I remember was Beautiful Thieves...
jose168 Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 65. Can I Sit Next To You - Spoon Despite being on the quieter side, the steady clap effect gives it an anthemic nature. 64. Mi Gente - J Balvin/Willy William This song speaks to a global audience the stats back it up. The instrumental turns out is a remix of a remix . I think where Mi Gente strides is the lack of lyrics, allowing people to inject their own happiness into it. 63. Cartoons - Cupcakke Because it's not an accurate list without Cupcakke. Ironically one of her more "serious" songs. Not much of a hook, just 2 and a half minutes of straight bragadocious goodness. 62. Vintage - Allie X What a hook! The our love is vintage bit is an instant earworm. Was surprised at the troye sivan cowrite considering he's usually a bit boring. 61. Daisy - Wavves The funky Surfrock Ariel Pink vibe they took on had me hooked. The album was a bit disappointing though.

SLIME Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Only time I heard What Lovers Do I was h*ving s*x so couldn't pay attention but I remember liking SZA's part! Get that pop money! Spoon is good as always, glad u agree Bodak > Shether too. and I HATED Allie X when I tried to listen to her in like 2014 but maybe she's gotten better lemme peep
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 12, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 12, 2017 Your Allie x choice is objectively correct. Your cupcakme one isn’t.
