Hug Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 (I'm gonna need someone who is actually talented at graphic design to help a bitch out next year thanks) 2017 has been a wild one for me. 2017 was the year that I, along with @Cantaloupe. and @ManDown, became the first three undercover moderators of ATRL, and those few months of trying to keep the secret from getting out (and thinking people somehow found out ) were some of the funniest times I've had on ATRL. As wild as it has been for my personal life, it has also been wild for the music I discovered. 75 songs, some that were newly released, and some from the past that I just discovered, will both be celebrated here on my year end list. Prepare to see just how nonsensical my music taste is! The countdown will be both on here and on the Tumblr page created for the event, where I will give more in-depth thoughts. Feel free to check it out if you want my thoughts on any song that's on my year end! There will also be a special "Dancefloor Spotlight" section: this is a place where I will honor songs that, for one reason or another, did not make my list this year, but I felt deserved a mention of some sort. To top it all off, there will be an "Artist High Scores" section. (note the "arcade" aesthetic). Artists will get points for every entry they have on the year end, based on how high the song charted and any relevant accolades the song has. Accolades will be given for songs that meet certain criteria, the most obvious one being an artist getting a "Song of the Year" award for having my favorite song of the year. Halsey - 100 -- Today's first chart is so painfully obvious that there really is no need for explanation, and yet, I'm here and I'm going to give one. Halsey, being the first announced in the first update, is obviously last with 100 points. (#75 = 100 points, #1 = 7500 points, easy enough!) Zara comes in 3rd with collaborator Tinie Tempah, and unfortunately, she and Halsey are the only people ATRL knows about on this list, so there goes my ratings. Black6ix, with their only entry, "Please", allow them to be the first ever winners of my 2017 artist high scores. What will happen tomorrow? Well...if you tune in, you'll find out! Dancefloor Spotlight is up next, and I have an idea for it since I didn't make a thread last year.

Hug Posted December 11, 2017 Author Posted December 11, 2017 To wrap up the first day of my year end, I will be giving the first ever Dancefloor Spotlight to my top three songs of last year! I didn't even make a personal list for reference, but these would no doubt be my top three songs of 2016! My #1 song of 2016 is "Get Down" by K-Pop boy group Boys Republic WHO DO NOT DESERVE TO BE THE FLOPS THEY ARE. It is actually repulsive. For those of you who are into K-Pop, though, the next group's name will be much more familiar to you: EXO. They claimed BOTH my #2 and #3 spot for 2016, with "Lotto" and "Monster", respectively, and they remain my favorite EXO songs. That era was amazing for them. So, without further ado... I welcome Boys Republic and EXO to the floor! The spotlight's all yours! For those of you who decide to watch, thank you for the support. I know my taste is...not typical, but I hope you all can forgive me.

You're not missing much, I'd really only recommend Angel on Fire from that set.
