MusicLoverDude Posted December 16, 2017 Author Posted December 16, 2017 (edited) MLD's Top 100 Songs: 60 - 51 60. Paramore - Fake Happy The third song in a row by rock band appears at #60. The second of Paramore's songs to appear. This song was just ok to me at first, but this grew on me recently. I feel like this is a nice cross between their new sound, and their old sound. I kind of relate to this too because I mean, when you work at Six Flags, or any type of customer service position like food service or retail, being Fake Happy is a challenge. Anyways, this was a nice highlight of After Laughter. Second of three appearances by Paramore 59. Jake Miller - Lost Time By far, Jake is my main crush in the music industry right now. Sexy body, sexy face. And thankfully I can enjoy his music too - something Nick Jonas wishes he could do. But it's also sad how he has yet to actually have a hit in the US or even chart on the Hot 100 - something that even Austin Mahone and Emblem3 have been able to do. Jake has been doing a lot more singing since like his most recent EP. I can't remember the last time he rapped. This song is off of 2:00AM in L.A. and I think it fits the title of the album well - a song you can play at night time, the airy feel of nighttime weather. He has better songs on the album though, so this is the first Jake song to leave First of three songs by Jake Miller 58. The Chainsmokers - Honest Perhaps the only single from TCS this era that didn't become a hit. Or receive a video. I got into this a bit late, but I like it. I can see why it didn't become even a minor Top 40 hit, because it's pretty forgettable to most people. My opinion differs though, because I think that noise is actually very distinctable . It's also more of a ballad compared to some of their other material. It's nice that they showed this side more to them. ATRL can remain seething at their music being more successful to their main faves. Second of three appearances by The Chainsmokers 57. Taylor Grey - Never Woulda Letcha Here comes a Taylor that no one has heard of, and thus, no one is sick of. This Taylor has a song that reminds me a lot of a song by the infamous Taylor. And that would be Never Woulda Letcha. It's cute, and really adorable, and a nice listen. She actually has an album out which I need to listen to. I will be doing that soon. Only appearance by Taylor Grey 56. Dales - Chateau The lead singer of The Summer Set has now started to release his own solo material. And this is his first song. And I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY like this! Hahahaa. I haven't listened to this enough for it to be higher, but this song is so damn addictive and catchy that once I do have it added, it'll be rising in plays quickly! Brian kills it on here and that beat just gets you energized like an energizer bunny on a PowerAde overdose. Come thru Brian. Come thru! Only appearance by Dales Edited December 16, 2017 by MusicLoverDude Was posted before it actually was meant to be posted
MusicLoverDude Posted December 16, 2017 Author Posted December 16, 2017 Do NOT comment until I update completely.
MusicLoverDude Posted December 16, 2017 Author Posted December 16, 2017 I still have to post five more songs. So again, hold on. This site is annoying still
MusicLoverDude Posted December 16, 2017 Author Posted December 16, 2017 55. Sabrina Carpenter - Why Sabrina, aka Maya Hart from Girl Meets World, is releasing music, which I have pretty much slept on until this song was 0.69 cents on iTunes. And the more I listened to this, the more I got hooked on it. Her voice reminds me of Emily Warren on Paris. I'll have to see what else she releases before I can actually stan for her. But so far, this is the first song of hers I've actually gotten hooked onto. First of two appearances by Sabrina Carpenter 54. Taylor Swift - New Year's Day Here comes the infamous Taylor now with her most subtle entry on the list. This song is a grower and the piano is very nice and beautiful and her lyrics are very personal to where they are relatable enough to the average person. I can listen to this in the morning while doing things around the house or I can listen to this at the end of the day while winding down. It works well as a closer, especially after coming after Call It What You Want. This song feels like a full circle moment on the album, and unlike Witness, we actually realize at the end of Reputation, that Taylor is still the same person she was before 1989 ended, and that the old Taylor isn't dead, but more so, has an actual backbone where she won't let me stupid bitches like Kim Kardashian or Kanye **** with her. This song is very underrated. But so beautiful at the same time. Third of seven appearances by Taylor Swift 53. Katy Perry - Save As Draft The adult pop single Katy released is next on our list. I wasn't really fond of this at first, but the more I listened to it, the more I liked it. It has some really weird lyrics, but it's relatable to me because it reminds of this guy I liked, who wasn't gay or bi. Some stupid crap went down unrelated to him, but he got sucked into the mess, and I ended up losing my mind a bit because of him. This song reminds me of everything I wanted to say, but decided to not say because it just didn't seem like a good idea. Saving as draft as this song states. So I guess even in Katy's flop era, I still related to her material in one way or another. Third of six appearances by Katy Perry 52. Cardi B - Bodak Yellow The only real time hip hop song on the list makes its appearance. I wasn't really found of Bodak Yellow at first, but it grew on me. She's got an interesting flow, a little less crazy than Nicki, but I'm not sure if she'll be able to do as well as her. This song is pretty badass when you're in the mood, but it does get old after awhile. Which is why it's just short of the Top 50. But congrats on the latin representation (even though you look black). Only appearance by Cardi B 51. Little Mix - Touch Just shy of the Top 50 is the second and final appearance by Little Mix. I had an off and on relationship with this song. Sometimes I'd be really into it, and then other times I just wanted to skip it. This song deserved US success though. It's a shame that they are four eras in and they have yet to get a US hit. Yet Fifth Harmony can get them easier with more inferior material (until this era). Maybe Little Mix can finally rise now that Fifth Harmony is crashing into a burning trainwreck. Final appearance by Little Mix
Remmy Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Save As Draft, meh. Honest is cute New Year's Day mmm Fake Happy Should've been at least top 40.

Ghostlysnaker Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Not a fan of this set tbh but the highlight is definitely "Fake Happy" 19/50 so far
potent Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Bodak Yellow is okay. Fake Happy sounds decent but I was so annoyed by Aint It Fun that I'm staying away from Paramore for a while lol
Αnt Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Fake Happy should've had Ain't It Fun's success.

Mr.Link Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 I'm kinda getting mixed feelings about NYD it's okay sometimes but at times it's boring so idk Fake Happy is cute, I'm recently getting into it. It did not deserve to become a single though.
JGibson Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 3/10 Fake Happy + New Year's Day + Save As Draft
