charts discussion Ed Sheeran becomes most listened artist of Spotify

The record breaking artist Ed Sheeran has surpassed The Chainsmokers and The Weeknd as the artists with the highest number of monthly listeners on Spotify.

The UK singer has a total of 41.5 million monthly listeners while the two below have 37.9M and 37.7M.

Ed gets over 10 million streams daily. His current lead single 'Shape of You' has almost 300 million streams and it has been the most listened song worldwide since its release. The other lead single 'Castle On The Hills' has 148 million streams and is having a successful performance as well, staying in the top 10 of the Global Top 50 for over a month.
