lhdang2000 Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Top Movies: I will watch Bad Moms Christmas on DVD. I'm really excited because I love the first one, but I didn't have time for the second one. Hidden Figures is my most favorite movie ever. There's just something about it that's so captivating. I'll try to find time to watch Ingrid Goes West. Ed + Sam Best Album. Sia tho. Taylor slays the album tracklist + You Get My Love + Supercut. Opening Tracks: Younger Now is horrible. Genesis + ...RFI + Beautiful Trauma are good. Green Light is the obvious #1. Closure Tracks: You Get My Love + Perfect Places + Symphony.

Opening Tracks: Younger Now is horrible. Yeah you should definitely love BMC if you enjoyed the original Damn, your favorite movie ever? Can't say it's necessarily a bad choice The album sucks but I think the title track is actually underrated! Definitely the best one on there. BEST FILMS | #05-01: NOTE: Whoops, made another numbering mistake Everything revealed before this set is knocked down a spot, and there's actually 19 movies on the list. 05. Spider-Man: Homecoming [A-] Apparently third time's the charm for Spidey! I actually liked the previous reboot with Andrew Garfield, and obviously the original trilogy is nice, but Homecoming brings some new flavor to the franchise that is greatly appreciated. 04. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 [A-] Surprisingly, I thought this was better than the original! The first 15 minutes weren't the greatest but after that, Vol. 2 starts going IN. 03. The Edge of Seventeen [A] Hailee Steinfeld ATE this role. I don't know what else to say. 02. The Lego Batman Movie [A] I watched The Lego Movie back in 2014 and gave it a mediocre C+, so the fact that its Batman spinoff is so high on my list is something I never expected. This movie is the definition of fun. It's so fast-paced, contains tons of humorous jokes, and is easy to get invested in (despite me being slightly outside of its target audience.) Honestly, just ditch the main series and give us more of this. 01. The Emoji Movie [A+] WE LOVE A MASTERPIECE!!! So innovative, modern, cool, great, awesome, amazing, wonderful, spectacular, good-for-all-ages, revolutionary, Oscar-worthy, Grammy-worthy, box-office-breaking, just REALLY FANTASTIC!!! ?????????✅?????☕? JUST KIDDING! Despite being an "Emoji Movie stan" for months, I've actually never seen it. Only the trailers and a few clips. 01. Doctor Strange [A] When the trailers started dropping for this, I thought it looked cool but I wasn't too excited or anything. Then I finally sat down to watch it, and wow... I wasn't just entertained, I was impressed. The special effects, acting, the mix of comedy/drama/action - pretty much everything was on point. Really wasn't expecting Doctor Strange to jump into my Marvel top 3, but it did. BEST ALBUMS | #20-17: 20. Niall Horan 'Flicker' [[Good]] Chill and relaxing, but also a slightly uneventful start. Possibly the weakest 1D solo album so far, though I already know it'll be way better than Louis and Liam's "efforts". I was hoping he'd serve us FOUR teas, and that's not necessarily what happened.Trinity: Slow Hands • Too Much to Ask • Since We're Alone | Bottom 3: This Town • Fire Away • On My Own 19. Dua Lipa 'Dua Lipa' [[Great]] As someone who kinda disliked Dua at the start of last year and thought she was super overrated, #19 is a pretty solid position for her! This is a nice debut with a handful of highlights, I just think it's better if you just skip the bonus tracks (except Room for 2.) Trinity: New Rules • Begging • Be the One | Bottom 3: Lost In Your Light • Thinking 'Bout You • New Love 18. Portugal. The Man 'Woodstock' [[Great]] I had no idea this band existed before 2017, but I'm glad I dug into Woodstock after falling in love with Feel It Still. Their two latest (and biggest) singles are the obvious highlights, but they have more to offer than just those songs. Trinity: Feel It Still • Live In the Moment • Tidal Wave | Bottom 3: Mr Lonely • Number One • Noise Pollution 17. Tove Lo 'BLUE LIPS' [[Great]] I feel like this is another album that ATRL praised a biT too much, but it definitely has areas that are worthy of it. As far as her discography goes, I feel like BLUE LIPS has the fewest strong points and the most missteps. That being said, even Tove's weakest is pretty damn good. Trinity: Disco Títs • Hey You Got Drugs? • Bitches | Bottom 3: 9th of October • Cycles • Don't Ask Don't Tell BEST NON-SINGLES | #50-41: 050. Lorde "Writer In the Dark" [[ Appearances: 2 of 6 ]]049. Zara Larsson 'So Good' [[Great]] Pretty standard and inoffensive, but there's plenty of solid material on here. Not much to complain about at all (aside from my least favorite track.) Trinity: Symphony • Never Forget You • Lush Life | Bottom 3: So Good • Only You • Make That Money Girl 15. Demi Lovato 'Tell Me You Love Me' [[Great]] I'm not as obsessed with Demi's new sound as everyone else is, but it definitely still works. I think the more upbeat songs sound the best, though this whole album is very consistent and showcases several of her strengths. Trinity: Daddy Issues • Hitchhiker • Sorry Not Sorry | Bottom 3: Games • Ready for Ya • Lonely 14. Charli XCX 'Number 1 Angel' [[Great]] Whenever I listen to a mixtape, I generally never end up loving it. So the fact that I enjoyed this so much was a surprise. Number 1 Angel is overflowing with bops, and even the slower stuff is still likable. Trashy pop at its finest. Trinity: Roll with Me • 3AM (Pull-Up) • Babygirl | Bottom 3: ILY2 • White Roses • Lipgloss 13. WALK THE MOON 'What If Nothing' [[Great]] What If Nothing is not as hard hitting as their previous work, and there's a few songs that will have to grow on you (including a 6-minute experimental track with heavy vocoder) but as usual: it's fun, positive and easy to love. Trinity: One Foot • Headphones • Feels Good to... | Bottom 3: Tiger Teeth • All I Want • Sound of Awakening

Admiral Bobbery Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Albums: Yeah Dua Lipa's bonus tracks are nothing to write home about. Tell Me You Love Me is great. I thought What If Nothing was not as good as their previous either, but still had some nice songs. Non Singles: Writer In The Dark, Vintage, Sexy Dirty Love, Dancing With Our Hands Tied, Hunt You Down, That's So Us, Enchante, Learn To Let Go, Begging, and Pool Music Videos: Love most of them actually. Never expected to see Come On Eileen to get a shout out on this site. But it's a pleasant surprise.
lhdang2000 Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Top5Films: The Emoji Movie? I thought you were joking at first. The Edge of Seventeen is my favorite from the list. It's so underrated, one of the best coming-of-age movies I've seen in a long time. #20-17BestAlbums: Flicker and Dua Lipa are good albums. However, I believe they could do better. NonSingles50-41: Writer In The Dark + Sexy Dirty Love + Dancing With Our Hands Tied + Hunt You Down. BestMusicVideos: LWYMMD is actually a really good MV. I remembered watching the premiere and my jaws just dropped. She really put effort into that one. #16-13BestAlbums: I personally think R&B really suits Demi. Like the heavy production in the last album combines with her belting always create a very noisy product. But now as the production is more soothing, she gets to showcase her vocals better without having to belt. So Good shares the same problems with Dua Lipa to me. They are too long, I know that's what normally happens with European acts. However, I wish the album could've been 10~12 tracks. It would've been more cohesive. NonSingles40-31: Pink + Kesha. MostPlayedRecurrents: Wow, you played a lot of times.

Yeah Niall is capable of doing better. I think Dua actually started her discography off on the right foot. Right I really have no complaints about the video, like nothing comes to mind... literally no flaws. Confident is actually my 2nd favorite album from ha Just slightly behind Here We Go Again. Her new sound is still nice for sure, it's just that some of the songs could've been stronger if she switched things up a bit or whatever. I'm not the biggest fan of slow R&B. Yeah, both of them could've benefited from a few tracks getting cut. Yep 2017 was actually my most played year by a big margin. Previously, I never had any artist get over 1,000 plays in a single year, but this time I had 3! [[ #12-09 ]] 12. Betty Who 'The Valley' [[Great]] The Valley has to be the most easy-listening, breezy and uplifting release on this list. Anyone that isn't happy while listening to this truly has no soul. Now stop sleeping on ha! Trinity: Pretend You're... • Human Touch • Mama Say | Bottom 3: I Love You... • Make You Memories • Reunion 11. Imagine Dragons 'Evolve' [[Great]] At first listen, I enjoyed Evolve but also felt that it was kinda underwhelming. After a few months, and hearing most of the record live, I found a new appreciation for the album, and it actually might be my favorite from them. It also flows real nicely and has a handful of strong standout tracks. Trinity: Walking the Wire • I Don't Know Why • Believer | Bottom 3: I'll Make It... • Mouth of the... • Dancing In the... 10. Lea Michele 'Places' [[Great]] This was actually in my top 5 for quite a while but as the year went on, I realized that I mainly just overplayed the hell out of this when it dropped in April and then didn't come back to it often. I still love Places a lot, but almost all 13 tracks are slow and there's not much diversity, so you really have to be in the right mood before you press play. But once you do, you'll be overwhelmed by all the feels. Trinity: Run to You • Sentimental Memories • Heavy Love | Bottom 3: Heavenly • Tornado • Proud 09. P!nk 'Beautiful Trauma' [[Amazing]] Call it boring, call it basic - I call you WRONG. After the cute grower "What About Us" was released, I wasn't too sure how Alecia's 7th studio release was going to turn out, but I DEFINITELY wasn't expecting her best album yet. P!nk gives us all of the beautiful and none of the trauma with plenty of relaxing ballads, while still serving the bops we love (though they're not as hard-hitting as before.) Mix all that in with stunning vocals, great messages and high replay value - and you have something that was well worth the 5 year wait. Trinity: Beautiful Trauma • For Now • I Am Here | Bottom 3: Whatever You Want • Wild Hearts... • Revenge
