Oh. She didn't even beat 1989s opening? Even with all those magazines and discounts and other scams she tried pulling on her fans?

Interesting.

How many of your faves have 1m opening weeks?

Sorry, super busy today. I'll have my predictions up tonight.

Post may still have a significant-ish lead, but Camila is safe at #2 for now. I really don't think Gucci or Thunder pose any kind of threat. All Havana has to do is outlast Rockstar. I really think it'll come down to how high she can climb on radio.

I remember telling you all during week 2 that Rockstar was coming for 10 weeks

Rockstar is not getting 10 weeks they said

Rockstar is not even getting close to 10 weeks they said

This is unacceptable

The streaming gap is still that much bigger than Havanas sales and radio lead?

Rockstars YouTube numbers without a video are pretty absurd and it's obviously still #1 by a mile on Spotify and Apple Music

And don't forget SoundCloud

Wolves going top 20 would be a great start. Selena needs another hit with longevity like IAM. I hope it can get to the top 10. BL and Fetish didn't make it. I hope its not 3 in a row.

Issa lie.

I honestly wonder if it can crack the all-time chart with recharting every single year. That's the thing about Christmas singles/albums.

If the same songs/albums are still relevant for 50+ years, then they can probably dominate all-time charts.

Charting for 2-3 weeks in Top 20 per year, would equal 100-150 weeks in Top 20 after 50 years.

Wait, didn't Taylor break one of Britney's records

Britney was the first female to have 4 albums debut with over 500k first week.

Oops 1.3M (remains the 2nd best selling debut week of a female)

Britney 745kish

In the zone 609k

Circus 505k

Looks like Taylor has 5

Fearless (592,000)

Speak Now (1.047m)

RED (1.208m)

1989 (1.287m)

reputation (1.2m)

Well for me, I just can't believe anything isn't coming out.  I didn't think rockstar would get 10 erred be aide I ought for sure by December we would have some major new releases for the holiday season and as fall ends and winter sets in, some new music for the new season.

this 2,3,4 years between albums in the stressing era is killing me. I want the old, album a year standard to return.

Taylor literally just released an album and Eminem just released his lead single. Sam Smith and Maroon 5 also recently released. Those are major releases.

I don't think his team could be doing a better job. It's careening towards #1 on both rhythmic and urban. That's pretty much the ceiling for a single as late in the era as LOVE. is–especially for an artist as humongous on streaming as Kendrick.

The points for the #1 are irrelevant in this case. Rockstar is a huge #1.

Sales market is dead, and the top selling songs without discounts are doing 50K. That is out of the song's control.

A song with even 150 million audience on radio, and 50k sales would still need 62 million streams to have over 500 points.

62 million streams has only been achieved 3 times this year.

Most songs go #1 with under 100 million audience, meaning they'd need over 71 million streams, something done once this year.

With the current Hot 100 formula, 500 points is a very high bar.
