It most likely had an Urban radio deal. It currently has 5.2M AI which is a lot for a song with only 680 spins, that means the big radio stations were playing it. It was on a lot of Spotify playlists, especially the big Hip-Hop playlists. It was one of the highest songs on Hot Tracks on iTunes.

For someone like Rihanna that might not seem like a lot of promo, but compared to NERD's previous singles it's huge.

well if it had a Urban radio deal why it did fail to enter the Urban top 50 until November 11, which was 10 days after the song came out

the song is on Rap Caviar but it has a bad placement (43/50), i get what you mean but streaming didn't even exist when NERD was a thing and the iTunes hot tracks promo didn't exist either so...

While Pharrell had one of the biggest hits this decade, this is N.E.R.D.'s first entry. :deadbanana3: What the hell.

Most of their bigger UK hits and better songs were released before this decade.
