Yup. And fairly substantially I think, for GG to have fallen below Mi Gente. Wouldn't be surprised if they cut YT's influence in half.

Edit: Okay... half is probably an exaggeration. But maybe 25% or so. It feels like a big change. Look forward to crunching the #'s.

Wait they changed the rules :duca:

Gucci Gang is the first victim :sistrens:

It was predicted to be #6 and it's out of the top 10

We're just speculating at this point, but even if they did indeed downweight YT streams, must note that this won't be a blanket effect among urban hits. In fact, increasing the influence of AM will serve to help urban hits.

I've already went over why I think this would be a really stupid rule change, but to reiterate: just because a stream makes labels more money doesn't mean it should matter more for a *popularity* chart.

This change (whatever it is) was needed :clap3:

Just look at Gucci Gang metrics:

#1 youtube

#2 Spotify

#2 Apple

#16 itunes

#161 Radio

Such an unbalanced top 10 hit.

Did Billboard implement their new change to Youtube streams or why did Gucci Gang fall out of the top 10?

 Probably.

radio is a political game though. it's a hit on all of the user generated charts

Beyonce is Queen of clinging to life in the top 10. She was predicted to freefall almost 6 weeks ago.

We're finally getting our girls back. Bey, Rih, Nicki, Cardi and SZA all have top 10s this year.

So it's top 2 on all streaming services, top 16 on sales and you think the change to Youtube is what was needed?

YouTube and Spotify Freemium must have been cut by 30% or more, in order for Gucci Gang to fall out of the top 10.

Sales and radio probably increased a bit, too.

I'm not sure if Walking On Water will still debut top ten now....

It all depends on radio

RIP Sorry Not Sorry :'(

This Sam song is not good, it needs to die along with his career (sans a dramatic change in the quality of his music).

Okay then. Just have to look into what happened with GG in that case.
