I also want Samantha to snatch #4 from that god awful excuse of a “rock” song.
luckythisway Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 @simmnfierzig about how many sales is 30 points? I’m wondering if a discount could close that gap just by itself.
unbothered Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Camilla needs to go #1. If not Atrl, needs to shut down!
Blade Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Anyone notice how since like 2016 whenever an album is released the current single gets a pretty cute boost. Like Sorry Not Sorry, TGAG, etc and theres countless other examples. Back in the day the current single was never really helped on the Hot 100 during album release week. Streaming won.

Letters From Adi Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Not having a single song the week before her album drops won't look good for her.

Depended on the album. In 2011, album release week was what gave "Mr. Know It All" by Kelly Clarkson the edge it needed to leapfrog Dev's "In The Dark" to peak at #10. But in 2012, album release week actually hurt "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and made it lose points due to Complete My Album giving it negative sales points. That was one of the few instances that actually happened.

It’s called discounting the single during release week, promoting it, and people streaming the album giving the song a boost in streams.
