EyesOnMe Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) Final: Quote Capitol balladeer Sam Smith has officially landed his first #1 album on the Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart this week with 225k for The Thrill of It All. It’s also worth noting that, in tandem with this splashy entrance, his debut full-length, In the Lonely Hour, re-enters at #39.222/Interscope’s Maroon 5 proves to be a strong second, though, as their Red Pill Blues follows the chart-topper with approximately 118k. Warner Bros. Nashville’s Blake Shelton, meanwhile, comes in at #4, moving 56k units in its first week out. Four other new releases can be found in the Top 20: Kelsea Ballerini’s Unapologetically (Black River Entertainment) at #7, Kid Rock’s Sweet Southern Sugar (BMG) at #8, NOW’s NOW 64 at #11 and Grace Vanderwaal’s Just the Beginning (Columbia) at #18. Chris Brown’s Heartbreak on a Full Moon (RCA) and 21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin’s “Without Warning” (Slaughter Gang/Epic) are both up in their second weeks. Brown, in fact, holds at #3 with 71k, while the collaborative project remains in the Top 5 with north of 56k. And as Santa’s sleigh prepares for the big, yuletide flight, Pentatonix’s platinum A Pentatonix Christmas (RCA) re-enters the chart at #29. Ahead of their 11/27 NBC holiday special and just following the release of the deluxe version, that set moves #26-12 on the Album Sales Chart—where double-platinum prior release That’s Christmas to Me re-enters at #35. As Def Jam celebrates Logic’s powerful “1-800-273-8255” going #1 at Pop radio, the rapper’s Everybody breaks back into the SPS Chart at #40. But what about country? Two days after the CMAs, Mercury Nashville’s Chris Stapleton, who went home with Album and Male Vocalist of the Year trophies, proves to be the biggest winner in the marketplace. From a Room: Volume 1 re-enters at #31, while 2015 breakout Traveller goes #46-41. On the Sales Chart, Room sprints #30-13, while Traveller moves #32-19. There, Luke Combs’ This One’s for You (River House/Columbia Nashville) leaps #45-26, while Keith Urban’s Ripcord (Capitol Nashville) and Miranda Lambert’s The Weight of These Wings (Vanner/RCA Nashville) re-enter at #44 and #46, respectively. http://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=309315 Update 2: Quote Sam Smith will land his first #1 album on both the SPS and Sales charts this week. With the CMA Awards airing tomorrow night, it’s likely several of the country acts in our Top 20 will see an increase in their projected totals, an increase that may carry over into next week as the chart week ends on Thursday. *Sam Smith (Capitol) 210-220k SPS, 169-174k Sales *Maroon 5 (222/Interscope) 126-131k, 104-109k Chris Brown (RCA) 64-69k, 17-20k *Blake Shelton (Warner Bros.) 53-58k, 49-54k 21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin (Slaughter Gang/Epic) 48-53k, 4-5k Kenny Chesney (BlueChair/Columbia Nashville) 40-44k, 39-43k *Kid Rock (BMG) 39-43k, 37-40k *Kelsea Ballerini (Black RiverEntertainment) 39-43k, 33-36k Post Malone (Republic) 38-41k, 2-3k Ed Sheeran (Atlantic) 29-32k, 7-8k Lil Uzi Vert (GenerationNow/Atlantic) 27-30k, <1k Khalid (Right HandMusic/RCA) 25-28k, 3-4k Imagine Dragons(Kidinakorner/Interscope) 7-8k *Now 64 (NOW) 24-27k, 24-27k Lil Pump (Tha LightsGlobal/Warner Bros.) 24-27k, <1k Kendrick Lamar(TDE/Interscope) 23-26k, 2-3k Demi Lovato (Hollywood/Safehouse/Island) 22-25k, 5-6k Gucci Mane (Atlantic) 21-24k, 2-3k Kelly Clarkson (Atlantic) 21-24k, 17-20k Future & Young Thug(Epic/300/Atlantic) 21-24k, 1-2k Grace VanderWaal (Columbia) 21-24k, 18-20k *DEBUTS hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=309236 Update 1: Quote Sam Smith (Capitol) 210-215k SPS, 170-175k albumMaroon 5 (222/Interscope) 105-110k, 90-95kBlake Shelton (Warner Bros. Mattyboy Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) Sam & M5 are both doing tour bundles right? Then the #’s aren’t that great. Edited November 4, 2017 by Mattyboy
AM98GJ Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Hopefully Sam's numbers increase, he deserves it, still happy for him
fridayteenage Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) hmm good for kelsea Edited November 4, 2017 by fridayteenage
Mattyboy Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I feel like Sam should be doing these #’s without the bundle.

Mezter Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 When did Sam release and album and WHO told him that cover with his big ol head in the center was a good idea

These numbers are still weak with touring bundles and a current hit. Hop off my quote and stop always looking just to argue. Edited November 4, 2017 by iHype.

anklebiterrs Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 How The Thrill of It All? Haven't had time to listen. Great numbers, is it tour bundled?

fridayteenage Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 wow most of grace's album is solo written. not everyone has that, and she's like 13
Zymphonic Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) Hmm. All of these numbers are a little low tbh. I was expecting 300-400k from Sam w/ the ticket bundle (200 is reasonable w/o). I predicted M5 would flop, but w/ a ticket bundle I thought they'd at least pull Katy's numbers or more. And I was hoping for 50-60k for Kelsea; even if that is a high estimate, the album has been on pre-order for so long and Legends is doing well/okay on country radio. What's the deal w/ Blake's album? I thought he'd have the #2 on lock. Is he releasing it mid-week? Edited November 4, 2017 by Zymphonic

Ichinaru19 Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Nnn the fall, those would be good if it didn't have tour bundles.
