I' never understood how BR had 6M from streaming anyway. Its Spotify and YouTube stats are good for a 2009 song but they're not THAT amazing.

Pretty sure it's because Billboard used to give out certifications w/ youtube views added ontop of them, every 100M views were 1 platinum certification for a while or something like that. It's not that way anymore but the certifications stay :)

When the RIAA introduced the SPS certification, the also included the streaming figures from then popular (but now defunct or forgotten) streaming sites like MTV.com, Napster, Rhapsody, Xbox Music etc. :)

Her career lasting only 3 albums though.. :toofunny2:

1. Even if you aren't selling millions you can still have a career

2. Her fourth album debuted at #1 album and had a Top 5 hit in 2017

3. She has more streams than artists like Gaga or Kesha

4. She's on tour and making more than $1M /night average

5. Idol is paying her 25M

6. Get a life

RITD probably at 8.7 mill now. Its 2nd place OAT is secured but it'll probably never reach #1 unless you-know-what happens...

Most impressive here are UF!, Loose yourself and ofc dont stop believin (that song is almost 40 years old! :rip:)

Remember, at first, the RIAA used the 100 streams = 1 sale ratio. RIAA didn't change to 150:1 until 2015. So the older songs benefit from this.

I really want RITD to snatch IGF. The latter is totally dated and feels way less remembered than it should.

omg @ RITD about to be the best selling digital song in the US

No, it won't. I Gotta Feeling is at 8.9M+. Both songs have always been close to each other on iTunes. I Gotta Feeling is currently a few positions higher than Rolling in the Deep there. As sales continue to dwindle, I don't think the gap between those two songs will ever be closed.
