DarkPassenger Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 i must say even though i am not a huge fan of this album, Pink is a legend, consistent and genuine

dfantasy Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 4 hours ago, Liafen said: Seeing as how the US leg of the Tour is almost entirely sold out, the bundle will be an outrageous success. With a CD going with every ticket, not every purchase, almost 570,000 albums could be redeemed if we estimate a 13,000 venue capacity for the 44 dates. Make that 10,000 and it's still 440,000. Half of them being redeemed means 220,000. Third of them (very negative estimation) 145k. Question is, how much is she going to sell besides the bundle. A Legend. Touring Artisté. Talent Always Wins. She did THAT. You made me jizz. I hope everyone redeems the album
Royal Culture Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 She's really doing MORE THAN DOUBLE pure sales what Try This sold first week even though overall album sales have fallen over 77% since then

And it’s true. She had great success aside from Try This but she was still slept on. P!nk kind of dug her own hole for being slept on. The beginning of her career was slippery, her changing image so drastically and quickly. M! was her “that girl” moment regardless of peers. It had several smash hits for her. After she played around, she’s happily (seemingly) settled into an Adult Contemporary staple. Which has worked. But y’all gotta pick a side. Either she was slept on or she has sold consistently nice numbers, has had several #1 hits in this latter half of her career and really built on her touring power. It can’t be both. She may be safe and relatively predictable now, but she’s got a solid crowd supporting her, regardless of any “that girl” moments.
.:Allen:. Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Holy ****. I'm not sure what I was expecting but that's way more than I was thinking she would do.

But there’s a reason P!nk has been called “the world’s most underrated superstar” and one of the reasons for that is, despite her success, she never got the credit she deserved. Her 2006 album “I’m Not Dead” was the 6th best selling of the year but she was never brought up during that time like others of that era. She’d be omitted entirely in articles. Her 2010 Grammy performance was her first since 2002. By slept on, we obviously mean media and industry coverage and respect. But really, we are talking about the States. She was always warmly welcomed across the pond and down under.
Stoner Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 How come anytime a female is successful, people gotta bring up Britney?
charmed23 Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 I'm only a casual fan, BUT HOW?!? even when factoring in tour bundles and what not, the fact that she's also still selling her tour like a piece of cake with that boring lead single. Darn, why couldn't True Love smash like this.
Maxi Underdog Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 I was told that she was over. Has no impact. Will flop.... poor unfortunate souls queen ❤️

I can't at some of you all trying to bring down her success, just be happy a woman is smashing like this, it is not the norm anymore.
Paddy Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 9 hours ago, sakisfan16 said: given the fact that she's coming from a smash era back in 2012 with 3 top 10 hits (one of them no 1) and one successful top 10 soundtrack single last year it's not weird for these well -received units! so it's not right some people here to compare it with britney and glory for example.glory was the follow up of the ''britney jean'' disaster-mess. well the situation is obvious.still brit outsold all pink's albums with only BOMT and OOPS and I don't bring her other 7 albums ! I did not bring any Britney albums at all. I didn't even bring Britney into this conversation at all. All I said is that your argument about ignoring P!nk's first era is ignorant because just because it wasn't smashing it doesn't mean it didn't happen. And if you wanna talk about quality and successful eras, it's only Britney's fault her music is crap post Femme Fatale. Who cares about her successful eras and how she outsold P!nk with her first two albums? Like snap back into the present, it's 2017. While Britney buried herself in Vegas with mediocre (or simply bad albums such as Glory), P!nk is still able to disappear for five years and come back almost stronger than ever. Those are the facts. Few weeks ago, ATRL was like "P!nk is over, why is she getting the vanguard award? You+Me was ignored by everyone..." etc. And here she is with incredible numbers - especially for a female artist in certain age, that does not strip down to get attention and artist that does not get a lot of support on streaming. In 2017, that's impressive. I don't care how many albums Britney sold 17 years ago, nobody really cares, it's only her fans and ATRL who cares. I wonder, if Britney announced world tour - and I mean proper world tour - around the world with like 100 stops, if she'd sell it all out.. because it clearly looks like, P!nk still can,

I hope the same can happen now with pink's new (boring) album! And you did not bring britney into this conversation at all but now you can't stop talk about her and discredit everything about her career.britney is a legend an icon (something pink can't acheive no matter how she would try,how big her sales are -with ticket bundle-no matter how boring acrobatics will bring now, britney even if not having success again she will always be bigger, pink admit it weeks ago in a interview that britney always was bigger than her so where is your point?) you don't want bring the past but britney outsold pink's entire discography with only her first two albums. past or not -you like it or not this happened and it's a FACT and the records and achievements never gets old no matter how years before were!!!and britney broke many!buried herself in vegas?? yes that's how the show is still successful and it's 4 years there with still sold out shows!and britney made an impact on vegas and boost the tourism on the planet hollywood and she made the headlines ! well she was in tel aviv this summer and bring 60.000 people to see her without even try, without do promotion, without even having an new successful album! and she had many other sold out shows from her tour this summer!just like madonna she has nothing to prove anymore .she's a pop royalty....so stick with your favorite artist right now (pink) and you should not care about the REAL pop legends of the music industry Edited October 16, 2017 by sakisfan16
