Sunshine if Beyoncé's debut was on November 11th, 1997 then she's still not 20 years into her career. If Mi Gente is top 10 by November 11th, 2017 then we can talk.

The hoops y'all will jump through to discredit this woman :lmao:

For Stevie Wonder, add "I Just Called To Say I Love You" and "Part Time Lover", both of which were #1 hits. :gaycat1:

I assumed debuted meant had their first hot 100 appearance.

Yeah that was November 1997 so Beyonce doesn’t belong on this list yet

P!nk's debut as part of Choice was in June 1996 and Just Like Fire was top 10 in June 2016. A legend!

@TattooedDreams

Thank you I wasn't sure when her group debuted :)

Choice never hit the hot 100. The single didn't chart and the album was never released.

Justin Timberlake getting a #1 20 years into his career.

Even Madonna couldn't do that.

What song did Beyoncé hit the hot 100 with in July 1997? Clearly my records need updating if she did and I hate wrong data in my 60 years of chart database.

The thread says 20 years after debut. It says nothing and having a hit on the hot 100 20 years ago. And her debut was on July 1997

It doesn’t make sense to include several artists that were part of a group at their debut. It wasn’t a solo career and stats from groups are never counted for their solo career tbh.

Janet and Mariah are like months shy of the twenty-year mark (1982 and 1990, respectively). Their last top tens were in August 2001 and August 2009.

If AlWFCIY went Top 10 in 2015...

Funny how you only mention Beyoncé and not Michael, Diana, Paul or Justin. Stay pressed.

Actually Ringo counts as well.

free as a Bird by The Beatles was 1995/6

But then his last solo single was still in 1975. I mean let's say Kelly Rowland wouldn't count as well if Destiny's Child scores a T10  next year because her last solo single was still in 2002.

Just reminded myself of one more eligible group:

Daft Punk debuted in 1996, scored their last #1 with Starboy in 2017 and I Feel It Coming (#4) as their last T10.

Of course P!nk counts, her debut single with choice, “Key to my Heart” was released in 1996, on the Kazaam Soundtrack.
