Well she pretty much gets more and more famous because people think she's a character and her dad is using her because he saw that she was getting big

Then she realized that and turned on her dad, her dad yelled at her pretty intensely saying she's useless, annoying, etc. and then the rest of her family backs her up 

I don't really remember a major twist tho? 

Oh and she ends up being the one to donate her kidney to her mom
