Isaiah Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Mi Gente started bleeding dark red Friday afternoon so idk if a #1 is still possible but #3-5 are really likely imo

I guess she will have to wait until October 7th to score the #1 because Taylor is till #1 according to that list. ------------------------------------------------------------ Billboard chart dates aren't the same as the tracking weeks. Starboy," released on XO/Republic Records, and the title cut from his new album (which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated Dec. 17), reaches No. 1 in its 14th week on the Hot 100. It also crowns the Digital Song Sales chart for the first time (5-1), logging the chart's greatest week-over-week sales gain (up 28,000), surging by 49 percent to 86,000 downloads sold in the week ending Dec. 22. Its coronation on both charts was boosted by 69-cent sale-pricing in the iTunes Store during the tracking week. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/7633336/hot-100-the-weeknd-starboy-daft-punk-hits-number-one "Beatles," released on Interscope Records and the first Hot 100 No. 1 for the brother duo of Khalif "Swae Lee" and Aaquil "Slim Jxmmi" Brown (and likewise the first leader for Gucci Mane), returns to the top after a week at No. 2. It adds a sixth week at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart (rising 3-1) with a 120 percent gain to 136,000 downloads sold in the week ending Dec. 29,, according to Nielsen Music. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/7640667/hot-100-rae-sremmurd-migos-bad-boujee Starboy and Black Beatles #1 weeks in reality belong to 2016 but whatever lol. Exactly... All the points "Starboy" and "Black Beatles" obtained to get to #1 were all measured in 2016!!!! That Billboard publishes the whole chart in their magazine 2 weeks later is a different thing. But in REALITY those songs were getting those metrics in 2016 and we're #1's in 2016, they don't represent anything about 2017...

brainmaniac Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Credit is given for the version with majority of points right? How's the remix of Mi Gente doing on streaming? Airplay will probably still favor the original version at least this week. Sales will favor the remix of course this week, but this could be like an S&M/Till The World Ends one week situation if the remix doesn't get picked up on radio like the remix of Despacito did

Their eras are basically the same. Starboy era started a month earlier. Also Starboy topped the album chart for 5 weeks. I know 24k magic got unlucky, but it's still an accomplishment.
NickARTPOP Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Bruno had MUCH more longevity than Abel, you can't just compare peaks. Bruno will be higher on the year end charts and that's what really matters

Émotif Fool Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Every single Starboy song charted on the Hot 100 and stayed there for a couple of weeks....Starboy produced more top 20s, it’s streams are massive, and the singles were GLOBEL . I believe in the US they’re very close in terms of SPS with Starboy edging it out slightly. Starboy was bigger.

The album is the third biggest this year (behind Damn and Divide) and both singles are top ten on the current year end list. TWIL will end up top 3 and 24k Magic will end up top 15. Also, 24k Magic has done 3.5m WW units and Starboy has done 2.9m
Communion Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Using simm's formula, Cardi should have a comfortable lead and #1 on lock. I think she may actually be able to snatch a 3rd week at #1 considering Taylor's points using the same formula. I think the only threat based on points would be if Post somehow got a new YT or sales boost.

And if you want to talk Worldwide they’re actually near each other in SPS and Starboy’s hits were MUCH bigger. It’s not as huge as a difference between the eras success as y’all try to push.

Tour selling crazy. 24K MAGIC (SONG) is still in the top 100 on iTunes. All of his singles are in the top 100. Edited September 30, 2017 by PrinceMichaelFan

Reason why is Starboy the song peaked at #1 but is no where to be found but yet 24K MAGIC (song) is still on iTunes and is one of the most successful songs of 2016-17. Meanwhile, ABEL only released 2 singles let's be real... Bruno, on the other hand, released a single in October, January, and June. The man is a Longevity king and is currently dominating the Billboard 200. Abel has since then gone and left the charts. Had he released True Colors, Lonely Night, Die For You he could have sustained the 3rd hit but the sis thought it was cute to release some Hip-Hop trash that no one cared for. Hopefully this is is a Reminder to him to release better material because the album is half good. Edited September 30, 2017 by PrinceMichaelFan
