I agree since Missy was a producer she should be credited but unfortunately she's not Yes, I updated the list to include Remy as part of Terror squad and Queen pen as she was featured in the Blackstreet song No diggity. What are you talking about shading Nicki? Not only am I a former barb who is waiting on NM4 to bring me back in I also include Superbass as the #1s that were robbed. Please re-read my post. Now I understand there will be a lot of people shading nicki in the oncoming weeks over the #1 thing for cardi but I won't be one of them. If anything Cardi B going #1 helps Nicki because Cardi is doing it without a strong team and with random promo etc. Nicki's team would ensure proper promo/proper streaming/radio adds etc. In this era of urban domination, I'm hoping Nicki could snag a #1 or two. Don't get it twisted...
slw84 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I also thought Logic was closer to #1 but those new numbers show that it might take a couple of weeks. Hmm. Well I love this new tea regardless

I missed it and didnt know that sry I didnt see her name on that first line of ur reply and assumed the songs were all by the rappers u had listed lol I agree with what youre saying, plus shes still getting hits to this day so shes bound to have one go #1

Would love for both cardi and logic to get it so that there's more urban artists hitting #1 this year but I guess we'll have to wait and see
QueenofCopyPaste Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 If Cardi goes #1.. She'll be the 8th 90s born female to do so 1. Kimbra 2. Lorde 3. Miley 4. Iggy/5. Charli XCX 6. Meghan Trainor 7. Halsey
diamondsky Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) Nicki truly deserves that #1. Maybe she'll hop on the Bodak Yellow rihmix (Bodak Pink ) edit: I guess she sort of was on a number 1 hit with The Hills Edited September 17, 2017 by ☆lex

Many that i listed either had a #2 hit or were featured on a #1 hit but not credited (i.e. Da brat was on Mariah's heartbreaker remix). It would be nice to see some diversity topping the charts. We don't need it to serve urban renaissance circa 2003-2005 where only black artists hit #1 but more inclusion would be ideal. It's a great era when pop, urban and hopefully other genres can have their moment at #1 in the same year. Rooting for Cardi next week; Demi for her top 10, Kesha repeaking top 20 etc. taylor will slay the game again next month when she serves her true 2nd single and has her foot on the neck of the game. Casual

Let cardi have her moment and hopefully with the streaming era and urban domination Nicki can achieve #1s during her era. and eminem's remix outsold nicki despite hers being performed and promoted so that kind of makes it even less deserving. You have to sell more than the original to be credit or at least close to the original I think S&M remix Britney's version sold 45% percent of the original or something like that.

Bad Bhabie? (jk)
Rentboy Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Hopefully Sams video tomorrow will prevent him dropping much this week. Here for Cardi(or anybody) toppling Taylor.

PurrKaty Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 So happy Cardi is looking to snatch next week. Also I'm happy Taylor got at least 3 weeks for now. I honestly think if she were to drop a killer music video for Ready For It in the next 1-3 weeks it could easily snatch #1. It's still top 5 on iTunes, top 20 on Spotify, and has over 20M in airplay. Riding off the wave of LWYMMD music video she could have huge numbers for her next video.
