She was basically unknown in the U.K. up until I Knew You Were Trouble smashed. 1989 smashed hard tho it sold 1,1M there alone and debuted at #1. Just Spotify ban kept her from #1 single there. Its basically same story in Japan and now she's the biggest western girl there. Edited August 30, 2017 by HolyKatyPerry

Fearless has very good sales and Speak Now's weren't bad either. WANEGBT was a huge hit. IKYWT was definitely not her first hit, not close, she was far from being unknown

Abracadabra Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Why would anyone be surprised about Fifth Harmony? They really aren't big in the UK at all.

C_Colstead Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Thursday Update Singles 1. Taylor Swift - Look What You Made Me Do (51.8k) (+8.5k yesterday) 2. Dua Lipa - New Rules (32.2k) (+6k) 3. P!nk - What About Us? (26.7k) (+4.6k) 4. Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean - Feels (23.3k) (+4k) 5. Justin Bieber & BloodPop - Friends (21.4k) (+4.1k) Judging from that increase (and an expected increase in sales yesterday as it was the last day of the tracking week), I can see 60k+ for Taylor when the charts are announced today. Albums 1. Queens of the Stone Age - Villains (28.6k) (+1.6k yesterday) 2. Ed Sheeran - Divide (10.4k) (+1.9k; 17 copies ahead) 3. War on Drugs - A Deeper Understanding (10.4k) (+1k) 4. PVRIS - All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell (8.6k) (+0.5k) 5. Shane Filan - Love Always (7.6k) (+0.7k) Fifth Harmony #9, 1989 at #38.
