Yeah I agree, I was joking about the record LOL. If Adele could barely scrape 10 weeks with Hello, I wouldn't even be confident saying LWYMMD would get to 10 weeks.

you are funny.

adele was against two big songs who later became number one songs.

taylor has no one to fight now, eventually cardi b, but she is no sorry or love yourself at even close.

Barely scrape? Did you forget what songs were #2 and #3 during most of those 10 weeks? Do "Sorry" and "Love Yourself" ring a bell?

I was talking about its final weeks at the top. I thought it fell 1-3 but I remembered incorrectly. It had 2 weeks at #2 before dropping from the top 2.

true about the competition part. Idk, we'll see I guess. I'm not doubting LWYMMD at all, I just think all of its early chart success may hurt its longevity in the future a la BTW.

Probably Taylor will replace herself at #1 with her second single before her album release like Shake It Off & Blank Space did in 2014

I hope Bodak Yellow pulls a "Humble" and gets at least a week. If DOES hit #1, it's definitely only getting a week since Hurricane Taylor is back.

pulling a humble?

getting 67 million streams at its peak and peaking #1 in sales?

second single definately is coming before album release

This. But it better not be sabbatoged like OOTW. It deserved a top 10 debut. 195k sales ( and #1 on digital songs) and only #18. :rip:

OOTW wasn't the second single it was the first promo single.

I've just realised her record is One Sweet Day aka one of my least favourite Mariah singles.

How did that hold the record?! :deadbanana3:

As it's been prove, they used multiple tricks and tactics to keep the song at the #1 spot. Cannot find the article, but it was posted there.

PS. Pressed Lambs, before you report me, these are facts only, not a shade.

Actually, Carey & B2M got a sizeable boost from a well-timed show opening Grammy awards performance in early 1996, which the hype before and performance reaction afterward helped OSD get its last two weeks at #1. That being said, OSD didn't lead either component chart its final few weeks at #1 either.

This is all Taylor's fault. If only she released her song some days earlier. :!ohno:

Last time two women on the top 2

12/13/2014

1. Taylor Swift - Blank Space

2. Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass

Taylor and Cardi B will end the drought soon :duca:
