Had a  pretty rough week. I had this swelling that I had for 1 month already on my right thigh.

Deep in my mind I know what it is since I work in the health care field but was in denial about it. 

It got to a point where walking now hurts and it affects my activities of daily living. Went for a consultation, did some diagnostics and they found I had a Deep Vein Thrombosis in my right common femoral vein and it is partially occluded.

If the thrombus dislodges and becomes an embolus, it can clog up my lungs and I can end up in the emergency room.

I'm now taking an anticoagulant.

 

If I ever stopped updating my YTT, y'all know the reason why.

 

In lighter news, Norwegian Pop Prodigy Sigrid summits with Strangers (3 - 1). It was already leading in the middle of the week but when BBC announced that she won the BBC Sound of 2018, it influenced my listening habit and just built up a lead against Crybaby by Paloma Faith which surrenders the top spot (1 - 2).

 

Here cometh new songs inside the Top 5:

Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons makes a huge leap inside  (6 - 3).

Finesse (Remix) by Bruno Mars feat. Cardi B jumps too (7 - 4).

WALK THE MOON's One Foot skips also (10 - 5) .

	6 YEARS AGO Rhythm 20 (January 17, 2012)   Lykke Li -  Get Some	Swedish Indie Pop Lykke Li has a stronghold for a second week. I really enjoyed Wounded Rhymes that I listened to her 1st album and was surprised to hear that it's more poppier and dancier than her sophomore album. Still such an amazing album.
	4 YEARS AGO Rhythm 125 (January 21, 2014)   Foster the People -  Coming Of Age	Oh wow, another Foster the People song at #1, who would've thought? Anyway, this song is like an okayish lead single for a disappointing sophomore album. But when I was making the visuals of this song, I fell in love with it again and the okay became great. FTP and their power!
	2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 229 (January 19, 2016)   Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime	Coldplay disrupts Grimes command at the top. I really love the vibe of this song but man.... was this video utter monkey's crap. Just look at it! Like look at it! Whatever, still love this song.

I was very late with Crybaby. I saw it in a lot of YTT charts and when I finally gave it a good listen it slayed me.

Hey guys... This was a tough decision for me since I've grown to love YTT the past 5 months that I've been here. Discovering members and new music in the process. I'm going on, not really a rough time but rather a busy one with issues regarding my health, studies and job (my stupid laptop is showing its age too). 

 

Right now I'm minimizing my time in ATRL and that means in YTT too. So I'm putting my YTT under indefinite hiatus. I don't think I can commit to it on a weekly basis like I used to and I don't think I can do my weekly sweep on other YTTer's charts too.

 I don't know when I'm gonna commit to it again but I'm hoping it's not on a permanent basis.

 

For my (hopefully not last) update: Sigrid spends a 2nd week at #1. Not much major movement for the others.

The Arcanean Rhythm is back in business (temporarily). I don’t know how long I can sustain the chart this time around but I will try my best to do it as long as I can. Quick update, I’m doing fine health-wise. Career wise I’m currently looking for a job, this is the main reason why I may not sustain the Arcanean Rhythm for so long.

 

Anyway, the chart is a mess because I neglected it because I was focusing on my health and my job. And many songs are missing some weeks.

Dua Lipa’s IDGAF gets a solid 2^nd week at #1. When I was listening to Self-Titled, I was just meh about IDGAF but after it was made a single and the video dropped, it grew on me tremendously. This is the 3^rd #1 from Ms. Lipa from Self-Titled after Blow Your Mind (Mwah) and New Rules, I think she could have snatched a 4^th #1 with Hotter Than Hell if I discovered her sooner.

 

Challenging the top spot is our Hot Shot debut by The Knocks featuring my All-Time favorite band, Foster the People. Ride Or Die makes a stunning debut at #2 after I accidentally discovered this song when I went into FTP’s Spotify page and noticed that they were being featured in a song. The song is very FTP in sound and Mark Foster’s voice is just heavenly. Ugh… I love this band so much.

 

Speaking of Foster The People, their latest single Sit Next To Me makes an impressive re-entry in the Top 10 at #9 after topping for a week back in 2017. What propelled the song back inside? Well, they just released an alternate music video for the song featuring their World Tour. Compared it to their messy Instagram fueled 1^st video, this was infinitely better. Also, the song is gaining traction in the charts, gaining into the Top 5 in the Alt Songs and low 60s on iTunes. Please. Please. Please. Chart Gods give them another HIT!!!

 

Another debut inside the top 10 is No Exit by Tennis at #3, I don’t know this band/musician whatever but my younger brother was blasting this song and I got hooked on it.

 

Former #1s also regresses: My My My! by Troye Sivan (2 - 4), Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons (4 - 7) and former 5 weeker Strangers by Sigrid (5 - 8). Heroine by SunMi meanwhile descends (3 - 5) while  Finesse by Bruno Mars feat. Cardi B (6 - 6) is stationary.

 

Sigala and Pamola Faith's Lullaby lifts inside the Top 10 (11 - 10). Paloma Faith is certainly killing it for me this year since Crybaby and 'Til I'm Done are still charting in the lower ranks.

 

The lower end is a mess where many songs are kicked out.

	6 YEARS AGO Rhythm 29 (March 20, 2012)   Owl City -  Galaxies	I was a fan of Fireflies, I also highly enjoy Vanilla Twilight. It was Kworb's Frelling 40 that I encountered this song while I was lurking in YTT back in the days. He had this as his #1 at some point (or so I think). And I just instantly got hooked with it. Surprised that his song also managed to enter the Christian Charts. LMAO!
	4 YEARS AGO Rhythm 134 (March 25, 2014) Arctic Monkeys -  Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?	Oh Alex Turner, where were you in my life. This was my first album that I encountered from Arctic Monkeys and I was blown away by how good AM is and WYOCMWYH was my absolute favorite of 2014. After this I listened back to their catalogue and got hooked. Currently my most played artist. Can't wait for their new album!
	2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 238 (March 22, 2016)   Barei -  Say Yay!	During this week is Eurovision time and my pick for 2016 is Say Yay! from Spain! It was on the lower end of the bookings but I love the energy of this song. And as you can tell by my lower end songs of this week's chart, Eurovision season is about to take over. LMAO!
