So sad how evil the industry is and how they have become towards her now. Rih will snatch her 18 #1s next due to her getting songs with the hottest artist. Surviving offa features which most her #1s are while Mariah not only wrote hers but did it solo. Yeah cause Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, Justin Bieber, DJ Khaled, Rihanna, and Bryson Tiller all sat in a room together to plan how to sabotage Mariah's career

Kyungsoowift Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 I'm not here for Cardi being the AATB of Taylor's new lead single
fridayteenage Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 well, i don't see it having the same sales impact. or radio impact.

Grim Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Watch Despacito have the record taken from it like next year. So many songs have gotten pretty close lately; all it takes is a dry span for big names releasing hits.

Mariah will still have the record for most solo #1s/written most #1 hits if you want to count it like that. So it makes no sense to complain about features being inelligible.

This was interesting, considering EY debuted at #41 when TS moved from 51-42 in its 3rd week. Nevertheless, TS jumped over and blocked EY. Back then songs moved up and down with a more regular rhythm than today's H 100. BUT, 1991's SS incorporation into the chart proved the radio playlist and retail sales reports before SS were highly inaccurate. So, the rhythm, while regular, often wasn't right.

Booty sold 130k that week. Lover sold around 200k but had much weaker airplay. Both songs dropped like a rock after staying in the T 2 those 2 wks. Lover was the biggest selling song of 2001, but it only spent 4 wks in the T 40.
Adonis Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 (edited) I want Cardi B to jump 8 - 1 but I know it won't happen. The labels are literally starving us from getting good music. It's annoying. We need more balance around the year. Edited August 20, 2017 by Adonis
Billie Joe Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 I need Despacito to spend just 15 weeks at #1 so there would be at least one song to do so. It irks me to know there's no song that spent 15 weeks and a lot for 14 and 1 at 16.
brianc33710 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Given how few songs have reached/surpassed the 26 wk/6 month mark in the Top 10, I'm 98% sure Mars and Sheeran are the first to double up 26 wks in T 10.

I believe in 97-98 there was actually a triple up at one point of songs with 20+ weeks. HDIL, Foolish Games, and Truly Madly Deeply all spent huge weeks in the T10. Also what was the overlap between UF! and AATB? Both spent 26+ weeks in T10 but I don't remember how much they overlapped
Green Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Versace on the Floor was done wrong At this point it would be lucky to outpeak Gorilla That's what I like basically killed it.
