So when Taylor debuts at #1, Despacito will fall to #2 or #3 after week 16th at #1? Or Wild Thoughts will stay at #2?

If Taylor releases this Friday and debuts at #1, Despacito should be #2

As long as she keeps her record :cm:

She will have 16 weeks at #1 just like Despacito if Taylor releases next week because the current competition is really weak.

It has a +846 bullet on pop, which is the 8th-biggest on the chart. It's too early to tell quite how big it'll be, but it's increasing for now.

Seems like Friends is heading for a debut around #15.

Similar to "2U"... well he definitely needs to take a big break, saturation is real.

Taylor will not debut at #1... three days of huge radio updates (as expected) will be enough for her to chart the previous week, in the lower region of Hot 100.

You can tell by the first listen that they weren't gonna smash. The only reason they are popular is Bieber's star power. I'm the One and Despacito are much better

Does Wild Thoughts still have a chance at #1?

CSTF 14 weeks at No. 1 on Hot 100 Recurrents :clap3:

Does anyone know who holds the record for most weeks at No. 1?

My guess would be Gangnam Style, but no idea if anyone even keeps track of achievements on that chart

@simmnfierzig I know it's hard to say, but approximately how many streams, sales and airplays would Taylor's lead need to begin at #1?

She will be #1 in the second week, the new single will debut between #70-#100 because of radio.

That's on Despacito's 16th week at #1 right

Yes, the 16th week. After checking SHAKE IT OFF's debut on radio (it had 29 million AI in 1.5 days) I'm pretty sure that her lead single will have more than 40 million AI in first 3 days, and that is more than enough to debut on Hot 100.

@simmnfierzig Can you also estimate where Closer would rank? I would like to keep track of the SRCs if possible. If Closer indeed debuted below JT's Feeling on the RC Chart, he could still rank above 50. But I'm not we could go back and get data for a song that BB shifted to SRC 14-15 weeks ago.
