Considering there are like 10.000 songs, probably, at lease for a minor artist.

Now we're getting into technicalities...but if thats the case then whats the point of forcing some songs into recurrency?

To give more songs a chance to chart in the 80-100 region?!?

There is some logic in that, but I would just always let the top 100 songs chart. Who cares. If a song is among the 100 most popular songs for 3 years then so be it.

by a solo artist period***

That's true, but the Beatles are an all "male" band.

That's fine though...Rihanna can have both accolades: most #1's by a female artist and most #1's by a solo artist. :eddie:

Rih could catch Mariah if she wanted too...I doubt she'll catch The Beatles though. She'd need 6 more just to tie and 7 to outright pass em. I just don't see that happening, honestly. :psych:

This sums up my position.

That i have no problem...if you fall below 50 then fine go out...but 25 is way too low

If Tyler wanted the #1 so bad why didn't he release this week? I don't get why he'd want to compete with Lana & Meek. :rip:

SZA - Ctrl

Week 1: 60,000

Week 2: 30,000

Week 3: 28,000

Week 4: 25,000

Week 5: 24,000

Week 6: 23,000

Week 7: 23,000

Total: 213,000

If she keeps up this momentum she's going to be the first non-Beyonce/Rihanna female in R&B to have a Gold album since Jhene Aiko's 2013 album. :clap3:

I definitely see it happening. 5 more weeks doing 20Kish, 7 more weeks doing 15Kish, and then 10 weeks doing 10Kish will put her past 500k.

Is this SPS or Pure sales? Where is she at with both? So happy for her.

Glad she is getting the recognition she deserves. Love that her and Jhené supported each other early on and are both flourishing in their own way. Still need an official collab!!!

Drake released music video for "Childs Play". He might just save a few more weeks to extend his record.

Those are SPS. She did 35k pure first week and is doing around 4k per week now.

I can't find it on YT. Are you sure he uploaded it, because there are a lot of fake accounts that posted the video

???

Isn't that from his 2016 album? Mess if they did that just to chart below 50 for a few more weeks.

any wild-shot guesses for where pink's single will be? is just like fire a decent barometer?

Well, there are a few factors that might be considered. Plus side is that she is coming from a strong era with a three top 10 hits (one of them even #1). She is strong seller but as we know now this might not be enough not only for a high debut but for its overall chart performance. Minus side is that she had a break for too long (not that we can blame her) and released only "Just Like Fire" which was only for a soundtrack but still did very good on radio and sales but meeh on streaming. So we'll see. I think it will depend on how good the song is and how will be doing on Spotify and AM.

it's a pink lead so its guranteed at LEAST top 5 (but it'll probably go #1) on HAC, and it'll probably go top 10 on pop if its good, and shes always been a strong itunes seller. it just all depends on how she does on YT/AM/Spotify

That Drake video doesn't even have 1 million views. It won't return to the Hot 100 unless it has enough points to return in the top 50 since it left the Hot 100 more than 10 months ago and it's probably recurrent by now. (Chantaje was moved to recurrent 2 months after it left the Hot 100, despite of only having 18 weeks on the chart).
