fridayteenage Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 (edited) I didn’t realize it, but of Grammy eligible albums only Khaled’s has spawned 2 T3 hits...even if most people call them that Bieber song and that Rihanna song. Surprising given that wiki says his highest was #10 before this year w/Drake+Wayne+Rick. Well, I guess Collage sort of counts, but almost all of it was released before September ended, and it's an EP. Edited July 29, 2017 by fridayteenage

Even if a such a song just sells 1k, it would count as 20k downloads.. Maybe I could make it 1k physical single sales = 10k downloads. Either way, I'd give more weight to these sales than BB currently awards. We've already determined that BB weighs these sales heavier than downloads. So I would simply implement such a high ratio for physical singles. Gaga's 24k songs = 480k downloads in my proposed chart changes. Even if I went with would 1:10, sales would still get 24k physical singles = 240 k downloads. Since even downloads rarely reach 240k now, 1:10 would equal super strong in my proposed chart changes. They def show a consumer interest beyond the basic single since they're more expensive, usually contain remixes/B-sides, and well, are physical I think 1:20 is too high but I could see 1:5-1:10
QueenofCopyPaste Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 Despacito's to reach 3 Billion views during its 14th #1 "tracking week"
mendesperry Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Imagine how much Despacito would sell the week it gets discounted? I'd say 200K+

I'd say 200K+ Well, considering it's way past its peak in sales, 200k is not realistic... If it were to be discounted this week (which was not, since it already started), then it would've reached MAX 180k... But since that scenario is not possible, because it was not discounted, the next possible scenario would logically be this coming friday... By then, the song is going to be selling below 100k and the discount would take it MAX to 150k
Sinister Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I like the stability around 100k morr than just another high sales week
