She will still go #1, though.

People have forgotten she hasn't had a proper music release since 2014.

Her public clearly misses her.

True, I'm of the opinion that she's probably going #1, but doing so now days (i.e. debuting there) is much harder because of streaming, which isn't as easily to quickly smash in as it is with sales. Plus, she has to contend with Shape of You, which is a monster right now, and Ed is performing it on SNL and at the Grammys. Plus (and I don't see this actually being as big a factor as SOY, but you never know), Fifty Shades Darker premiers on Friday AND the soundtrack gets released so IDWLF should get a big boost too.

Should be fun :nicole2:

Is it confirmed Ed is performing at Grammy awards? :jonny:

Katy will eventually get it, even if it's for a week. I don't user her at all and I know I'll have to deal with the fact she'll be atop.

Mess, I thought it was but now I'm not sure :priceless:

Either way its definitely going to be close for #1, which makes it more exciting :eatpopcorn:

you guys are so stupid. arguing rihanna vs taylor when that wasnt even the point.

someone said taylor and adele dont have flop lead singles but rihanna does. i was simply pointing out that if RR was really a flop, then so was hometown glory and tim mcgraw. i forget we have a lot of ten year olds on this site.

We were talking about Taylor and Rihanna, but thank you very much for your input. Now let me correct your mistakes:

Album sales: Adele > Taylor > Rihanna (duh)
Single sales: Taylor (140M) > Beyoncé (130M) > Adele (65M)
Metascore: Taylor (75) > Beyonce (74) > Adele (73) > Rihanna (68)

Tour gross: Beyonce > Taylor > Rihanna
Net worth: Beyonce (265M) > Taylor (250M) > Rihanna (175M) > Adele (125M)
Awards: Taylor (279) > Beyonce (247) > Rihanna (139) > Adele  (136)

what is  Metascore number? I though that the highest album and Beyonce's Lemoande got like 98 or smth

and you are talking about overall numbers so you are right, my bad, but I was rather thinking about last days, last weeks, last year, who overall (not statisciclly) feels bigger so that why I put Adele on singles at #1 because of Hello

also in awards the questions is what we count, the most presigous award is Grammy, and Bey has it 20

Some Grammys are much more prestigious than others.

For example, Bey has 4 not in R&B.

...Yay for Ed being on top again I suppose.

I really hope Katheryn can get the #1 debut but it might be a stretch without a video + ed on SNL :jonny:

With that photo concept I think Katy has already done filming the MV. I think she will release the MV, or at least the lyrics MV on youtube this Friday.

SNL will definetly have a huge impact. Ed will perform at the same show Alec Baldwin will host, and hes famous for his impression of Donal Trump. We all know SNL political episodes always get better ratings, and a recent article just said that this season of SNL is having the highest ratings in 22 years of the show.

By that time Katy's lead will be HUGE.

Then Grammy performance. Not worried for Katy's position on iTunes

Katy has never flopped with a lead single either. Not including her Christian album, obviously.

Katy Perry =/= Katy Hudson

it doesnt matter who are, if your song sucks then it doesnt matter if your taylor swift. all our faves have flopped before. so we have absolutely no idea how katys new song will perform. like you think atrl would get it by now. im tired of seeing "oh its katy, it will do fine". again all our faves have flopped; Adele, Taylor, Rihanna and Katy. Even Beyonce and Gaga struggle to get a hit song. we just never know and then we have complete nobodys every now and then who come out with a smash and stay perched on the top of itunes.

so you guys need to stop making yourselves look dumb. NO ONE KNOWS HOW KATYS NEW SONG WILL DO, SO JUST STOP. it might flop, it might not. we dont know.

Adele doesn't flop...

The formula I use at the moment is sales / 750 + airplay / 900,000 + streams / 150,000

Lmao the delusion. Can we not overrate Adele even more than she already has been? She may be huge but Taylor and Rihanna have been in the game AND successfull way longer.

With Gaga set to get her 14th top ten, she'll pass Katy (for now :eli:) and Britney (all currently with 13) , and she'll tie Donna Summer (14)
