Today's Top Hits is a Spotify-curated playlist. It purports to have the top hits, but in reality it contains a convoluted mix of actual top hits and suspiciously unknown songs. The prevailing hypothesis is that record labels compensate Spotify for placing a song on TTH, thus giving it tremendous exposure. We already know that labels are heavily involved with promoting songs on Spotify playlists, and TTH is definitely not an exception.
