I don't check the playlists but the "New Releases" section each friday, and it wasn't there as a single, the entire "Illuminate" album is there as a re-released deluxe edition, but way down, in the 10th row (listed at position 30). I suspect that's one of the reasons it doesn't have a great start, but it's moving up. Slow and steady...

I don't think it's as catchy + will carry enough cultural impact. macarena (that is, the bayside boys mix, the one that made it a hit) had a very basic set of spanish lyrics with the rest of the song being in english.
