= 13 million 

 

13m x 4 = 52 million~ from Apple Music.

Apple Music has indeed surpassed Spotify in terms of subscriber count in the US but if there's already 32.6mil free listeners between the US and Canada on Spotify alone, i'm sure Spotify is still well ahead Apple Music in the US in terms of total users once you factor in the number of free users.

Spotify is barely getting 50% of song/album streams these days, then when you consider it has a large portion of its streams weighed down, its contributing moreso 30-45% for most hit songs/albums on the charts. Apple Music is the biggest represented streaming service on the charts. 

 

YouTube has more users then both, but nobody is calling them the king of US streaming in 2019. Video streams are making up less and less streams compared to audio, and all the streams get weighed down heavily.

Apple Music would only need 35% or 40% of streams, to make up the highest share of units since all of its streams get paid weighing. Amazon Music contributes almost nothing to Hip-Hop/R&B streams, its biggest genre is Country. Apple Music is the main contributor to R&B & Hip-Hop, Amazon Music is the main contributor to Country, and Spotify is the main contributor to Pop.

 

However Spotify is barely even contributing 50% of streams to Pop hits anymore. Once those streams get weighed down Apple Music & Amazon possibly have bigger shares too depending on which songs.

I actually wish that BB didn't include YT/VEVO streaming in the H 100 formula. Because countless, and sometimes non-flattering, videos inflate songs streaming.

 

ODS is best, with paid memberships counting the most. However I do think that Pandora and IHeart streams deserve some place in the Streaming metrics.

SYL is currently ahead on iTunes, Spotify and AM. all very close tho.  reminder TH is discounted on iTunes, I wonder how much it is affecting

on radio TH is ahead but they should get very close in 10 days. I think SYL has big chances to top the charts in 2 weeks, unless a new big release arrives
