hm i'm not sure bazzi is a total "plant"  bazzi is an indie artist, and a lot of indie artists get deals with major labels so they can get their music out there (case in point: bazzi striking a deal with atlantic to get his song on the radio). atlantic is known for quickly signing upcoming artists, like zay hilfigerrr and zayion mccall when 'juju on that beat' happened

bazzi has been around since vine. it just turns out that his big break happened as soon as one of his more recent songs became a twitter meme, which resulted in the song becoming more popular. you can thank apple music for being the final push
