It was on 900k an hour ago. It was the last time I checked.

It's still #1 on YouTube trending.

Since Keith Urban has charted several times on Spotify before, I'm surprised Female didn't at least crack the T 200. With the song at #1 on ITunes for 36 hours, Female should've entered the T 100. Maybe it'll show up on the Friday chart.

How to get songs onto popular Spotify playlists like New Music Friday and RapCaviar is a hot topic for labels in 2017. But it seems that they’re all being outperformed in terms of streams by a playlist that can’t be pitched to: the algorithmic Release Radar.

The more followers [you have], the more Release Radar playlists you go into,” Johnson explained. “What we are seeing is that this playlist is becoming a huge driver of streams – more than any of our programmed editorial playlists, which are the ones that everyone pitches for. It’s Release Radar which is driving listens.

Looks like Ed Sheeran is benefiting a lot from this.

@simmnfierzig @alexanderao  @popmusic which of you 3 loaded your own song on Spotify to see how much royalty it is earning? Can you follow up on that... And also are you using the 'Spotify For Artists' app for analysis?

It seems like HDD won't post the Streaming Songs Chart this week :noparty:

That would be me. It depends on tier, country and month. For US and July I got eCPM (effective rate per 1,000 streams) $2.36 for freemium and $4.91 for premium but I believe its mean of premium and student/family tires. According to my sources, Spotify premium rate is around $6.19 per 1k streams.

Rates also depend on recording label deal - majors has something called Minimum Revenue Gaurantees per stream and per user so they have slightly better rates.

Of course it's payout per stream for master rights. Composition rates are more complicated and I guess you're not interested.

P.S. Stream my song 'Taylor Swift' to generate more data :eli:

Thanks a lot! I also want to know do you use the Spotify for artist app? And if so when you compare your songs data with other artists, does it provide details of other artists? Because I want you to share more detailed stats of Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Justin and Gaga

where's the majority of the views coming from? the official audio? the unofficial video? some random video?

Most definitely not the unofficial video, which has just 160k views WW... (plus, these are figures from Nov. 9, when that clip wasn't even out yet)
