Well ed is currently on his third era while sam is on his second era, ed is unfortunately more established in the U.K. Than Sam, that was the result.

Im not sure, I don't think video streams counted for Selena either

But she had the video and also, the track was #1 in TTH, but for Sam I just see the video at #1 and then Taylor

Exactly she had the video plus the #1 track right behind it.

 

I think HDD is more reliable regarding video streams. Otherwise they would have a bigger impact and everybody would be doing it already

Sam had a 70% iTunes lead in the U.K. yesterday so debuting at #2 with only 20K streams behind Dua is amazing.

 

Also with his video overperforming, that's probably hurting the audio. They need to drop the video and put the audio on top

Why do peopel like you act like one successful era gaurantees a big follow up era? There have been MANY examples of this being a false notion. Sams next era is not a sure fire success at all. Its not like he's a huge popstar personality the public will easily remember. He has to deliver great music to get the publics attention. Unlike a few artists who get away with any ole rubbish but their superstar profile still has fans rushing out in droves to buy.
