Before they update, let's remember how big Linkin Park is on streaming (one of the biggest acts of the century):

Spotify:

1. In the End 247.3M

2. Numb 211.8M

3. Numb / Encore (with JAY Z) 187.8M

4. BURN IT DOWN 110.3M

5. What I've Done 110.0M

6. Bleed It Out 89.3M

7. Faint 79.2M

8. CASTLE OF GLASS 77.9M

9. One Step Closer 69.9M

10. New Divide 68.1M

YouTube

1. Numb 558.7M

2. In the End 335.4M

3. New Divide 301.4M

4. In the End 269.1M

5. CASTLE OF GLASS 229.3M

6. Crawling 166.5M

7. BURN IT DOWN 146.1M

8. Faint 145.1M

9. Breaking the Habit 128.8M

10. The Catalyst 126.4M

This truly breaks my heart. I was looking for LP songs on Spotify, but I guess I missed them. LP was one of Rock's strongest streamers (and downloads of songs), so I expected to see more on Spotify this morning. I assume more songs will debut and/or make big moves on tomorrow's chart.

I do hope we can make Numb reach a billion views.

I think it obviously will regardless. Probably by the end of this decade or early next decade, even without the large boost of streams it'll get in the next few weeks.

I think all the pre-Youtube songs which have 300,000,000+ views will get to 1 billion relatively soon (and there's a surprising amount of them). Because remember that Youtube's usage is growing fast, and these songs are songs that are consistently popular, so their views will likely accelerate along with Youtube's growth, not slow down like the views of recent hits do.

Numb, for example, seems to get about 600,000 views each day normally. So in just 100 days that's 60 million streams... It will get to 1 billion easily!

Misleading

kworb's youtube live counter thing froze for like half a day and it just unfroze today. so it's half a day's views + today's views. so that 28.3m figure is inaccurate. at least as far as I can remember.

there's a reason why the page for despacito still says this:

Quote

Most views in a day: 25,130,291 (2017/07/15)

bc the site glitched out

we'll get the real tea tomorrow.

With Chester's death, people will rush to YouTube and watch Linkin Park's videos way more than they usually do.

Everyone was talking about him today at work, it is impressive the way people remember their music. :weeps:

Yes

imma just copy paste what I said earlier:

kworb's site has done this before but on a bigger scale (48 hours worth of view counting got combined into one 24-hour update, totally messed up the system)

the chances of it being a real stat is p low

Since LP was one of the few Rock artists that streamed well, I really thought ITE would've reached much higher, and that at least one or two more songs would've placed in the Top 50.
